  1. It doesn't though. If the sun suddenly disappeared then it'd take 8 mins 20s for us to notice or feel any effect. Which is the same time it takes light to get to us. Only quantum entanglement seems to break this law, but I suspect microscopic wormholes are involved there somehow.
  2. You can argue it's never zero for massless objects too. Photons famously curve around stars in gravitational lensing. Everything follows curved spacetime whether it has mass or not.
  3. Yeah I'd say once atmospheric drag becomes negligible then you can essentially say you're out of the Earth's influence. Other than gravitational obviously.
  4. Unfortunately, so does my username!
  5. It'll be a truly momentous day when the first human sets foot on another planet.
  6. Essentially your point can be distilled down to wanting more competition from multiple teams at the front. The fact it is Verstappen at the minute is irrelevant.
  7. /pedant Technically the ISS is still in the upper atmosphere and therefore in the same inertial frame of reference as the ground. So they're still "with us" as part of the Earth. /pedant
  8. If you've got a dashcam, report him and upload the clip to the police on their website.
  9. Gooner means a completely different thing these days in certain circles.... 🤔
  10. Why is it in women's tennis there's so many 6-1 and 6-2 set scorelines? It's as if they get broken and then collapse for the rest of the set. And it happens to some of the best players too.
  11. These two songs have been bloody great. Shame he looks like a trans activist crossed with Heath Ledger as Batman nowadays.
  12. Monaco goes without saying as being awful. I said it before but Austria is too similar to Barcelona which is also dull.
  13. I saw them at Reading Festival (I think) around '99. They played straight after the Beastie Boys which is probably the best back to back sets I've ever seen.
  14. Worst GP of the season so far. Absolutely tedious. I had it on in the background and barely looked up at it after the first pit stops.
  15. Isn't Singapore Airport supposed to be huge and a great way to spend a few hours during a transfer?
  16. If Emily Eavis didn't want all that IDF nonsense at her festival then she shouldn't have invited them to play. You can't say "yay free speech" and then cry about what they say.
  17. I watched one song from Doechi and it was mostly shouting into a microphone and wiggling her arse at the crowd. Not sure that superstardom beckons based on that. Oh and I checked Busta Rhymes out as I like some of his stuff. Since when did he become a lardarse with a massive gut on him?!! 😳
  18. Biscoff is alright but it gets a bit icky and strong after a couple.
  19. Can't say I've ever been a Neil Young fan. Last night it looked and sounded like pensioner rock and not very interesting rock either. I guess Heart Of Gold is ok but even that is a bit dreary
  20. I watched Supergrass' set earlier on iPlayer and Danny Goffey on drums looks more and more like Paul McCartney as he gets older.
  21. Wtf is Charlie XCX's music supposed to be? And how did this Radio 1 bullshit ever get to headline Glastonbury?
  22. The track is far too reminiscent of Barcelona and that makes it pretty dull. So many corners or complexes are straight out of that track. The only decent section is the run up to turn 3.
  23. I don't mind the subbed players as such, but the HT dressing room shite can stay in America thanks.
  24. In the same vein....
  25. Dunno. They probably hung it the wrong way up.
