There might be complex life out there currently evolving in our galaxy but it just hasn't had the time to reach advanced civilisation yet. We evolved in around 4 billion years, which is only about 1/3 of the age of the universe. And it took 3 billion of those just to go from simple single celled life to more complex structures which could then eventually evolve into something more advanced. Add that to the stability issues you mention of potential solar systems and it could be unlikely that there's been enough time for anything like us to evolve yet and we've just been the lucky ones who've done it (relatively) quickly. It's highly likely that simple microbial life is abundant throughout the galaxy though. It just rarely gets the chance or enough time to progress.

I always break it in half too. Makes it fit in the pot easier and makes less mess when eating.

03/04. We both went down with Leeds.
-
Forest get an easy draw. Man City too now.
-
lolz unlucky lads. At least you'll be on TV.
-
I'd love a non-league standard team in the draw. Someone like Spurs would do.
-
Haverrtz's pen wasn't that bad. It was right inside the post. Maybe a bit slow moving but the keeper guessed right and saved it right out of the corner.
-
Bromley winning at Newcastle. Though I imagine they'll deliberately concede to take them back to Bromley for the replay to make a bit more money.
-
There's no way Tottenham would charge £20 for a freezing cold midweek night game against a non-league side, with the likelihood of a heavily changed and young team, and expect to get anywhere near 20k people turn up. Especially when lack of midweek slots mean that Spurs might be forced to play Sun/Tue/Thu with the replay being on a Tuesday.
-
Depends. The replay would have to be shoehorned in for a midweek game (which Spurs don't have any available to them in the next 4 weeks anyway) and you'd get a probably 50% full stadium, if that.
-
All this romantic replay stuff is absolute nonsense. No-one goes out there playing for a replay. And Tamworth would have had a much better chance of going through by taking Spurs to penalties than going away to Spurs.

Owww. I felt that

Timo Werner has to be one of the biggest frauds in top level football. I wouldn't want him if I were a League One club.
-
He came on 10 mins ago....
-
Spurs have been absolute shite considering the gulf between the two teams. They've made one or two opportunities, which is the bare minimum you'd expect, but done nothing with them
-
Pathetic bit of refereeing from Bankes. Books Creaney for absolutely nothing. Just guessed and made it up because he'd already booked Dragusin. You have no sympathy for the abuse and criticism refs get when you see stuff like that.
-
Freezing conditions must be horrible to play in. Especially if the ground and greens are all frozen solid. 9-10C is my limit.
-
My society had booked a friendly game at Sinfin tomorrow morning. Since it's going to be below freezing the organiser rang to change to a later date and got told they can't rearrange bookings if the course is open. Open course even though it's gonna be frozen ground and greens?!! He was annoyed and told them to cancel it and they are dickheadedly keeping the £100 deposit he paid. So we won't ever be going back there again! Which I don't mind as it's a shit course IMO any way.
-
Good free kick but soft as shit foul for the tiniest shoulder to shoulder nudge which apparently means his legs stop working and he falls over.
-
I can't tell whether Bristol City look really shit or we look really good. Probably a bit of both. Our 2nd goal was really well worked.
-
I think Back To The Future is up there with the way the stories all intertwine really cleverly.
-
Not necessarily. Moyes relegated Sunderland not too long ago, and he conceded more than us under Gary O'Neil at West Ham last season.
-
Jamie "hawk tuah" Carragher? Nah he'd be fine with it.
-
Everton fans are mostly deluded. There was a hilarious tweet a few days ago where one of them thought they could realistically try and sign Isak this window because they have a new stadium and owners.
-
And 4 of those were against us just before O'Neil was sacked....
