This isn’t exactly what I remember but this was said by Susan about a year ago.. City chief executive Susan Whelan said: “Under 12 years of King Power ownership, we have consistently sought to invest in the club’s future and to build from established positions of strength. “King Power’s unwavering support of the club provides a secure position from which to capitalise on our opportunities. “However, in order to remain compliant with the game’s regulations both domestically and in Europe – where we aim to compete regularly – our ongoing investment strategy must continue to reflect our underlying revenue progression. “Our long-term ambition is to achieve this through on-pitch success, the commercial growth that comes with it and through the expansion of our stadium and the development of the associated masterplan. “In the shorter term, as we look to continue to compete with more established opponents, profits from player trading and continued successful recruitment will continue to feature prominently in our strategy. “This approach has served us well in the past, bolstering our capability to keep investing in the growth of the club and forming a cornerstone of the most successful era in Leicester City’s history. https://www.business-live.co.uk/retail-consumer/fresh-hold-up-leicester-city-26413394

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Neither of them are good enough excuses, especially when so much is spent on legal fees and consultancy fees on a yearly basis.. -
I completely recognize the nature of FFP… haha, no. I’m talking about its global appeal as a football league. And how it will drastically lose its appeal without the top 6.. you think the finances are bad now, but you wait and see what it will be like without those teams… the reality is, we need them in the league far more than they need us in the league.

They definitely come across as caring people no matter what they are involved in, for sure. So even if buying Leicester City was a business decision, they take their heart with them wherever they go,.. -
I think this may come across as a bit harsh.... I don't believe the U.S has developed any kind of reputation for sub standard building designs...

Well they peddled the idea at the time that Top had fallen in love with football after watching his first live game which happened to be our League cup win in the replay... It's all something i found hard to believe at the time.. -

It was one of their aims when first buying the club. They also stated that the intention was for Leicester City to increase the image and fortune of the King Power brand... Make no mistake, the Purchase of LCFC was purely a business move and not about any love for football... -

You are absolutely right. They have said this on many occasions. The intention was never for KP to continue to finance the football club long term. -
Well, who i DONT want, is Gabrial Barbosa. We were allegedly after him 2-3 years ago and it appears he has been banned for trying to avoid a doping test.. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68663171

Absolutely hate house chains. We were very very fortunate that our house had been empty for 2 years before moving in. We ended up getting the house for less than half of what it originally went on the market for. mind you, this was 13 years ago and i doubt that would happen these days!

it appears everything was running normally until a few moments just before they reached the bridge where it suddenly went off course and smoke started rising above it. possible engine failure? search is underway for 7 missing people..

I’m not sure that it’s the premier league format that needs changing , more the way it’s regulated. I don’t see how taking the best teams out of the league would result in better or fairer competition. It would completely take the ebb off doing well in the premiere league knowing you haven’t actually played the best teams.. even the majority of the fans from the top 6 clubs are against this.

It's something they have done several times with it only proving problematic recently.. and im pretty sure all clubs do the same thing - borrow against transfer installments so they can use the money immediately. the problem here is that we didnt have a plan B when things started to go wrong.. EDIT ahem..... please excuse the fact this is the Daily mail... it was just the top link in a google search of many saying the same thing.. A number of Premier League clubs have increasingly used so-called bridging loans from investment companies to provide up-front access to cash they are owed in transfer instalments from rivals, but Palace’s deal with MGG indicates they are planning for future sales. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13235431/Crystal-Palace-loan-American-lenders-summer-transfer-market-Michael-Olise-Marc-Guehi-Eberechi-Eze-demand.html EDIT again this is probably a better read as to what goes on... https://www.farrer.co.uk/news-and-insights/the-money-game-debt-financing-in-football/

He would enhance his reputation far more by sticking with us if we get promoted and keeping us up. If we don’t go up, he has the perfect excuse to walk and with his reputation intact, somewhat. He could blame lack of promotion on things other than himself..
