and yet he's done well at international level in these areas. I think the main problem was he was a no.3 at Liverpool, he was our no.2 for a couple of years and was thrust straight into a prem starting line up. He had hardly played a competitive game for us and suddenly he's in a doggo of a team, had a torrid time and just didn't appear to be mentally strong enough to recover from that. He needs a fresh start and could do well in the Champ for Cardiff. I wouldnt put him into another relegation scrap though if i was Sheff United. Either way, he needs a fresh start.

Think this is a little bit harsh. When Soumare came to us he was regarded as one of the hottest young talents in European football with a bright future ahead of him. For whatever reason it hasn't worked out for him and he hasn't played well at all. You cant underestimate the need for the right manager to nurture young talent. It wouldn't be wrong to blame Rodgers for a lot of what went wrong last season. If Soumare was the only player underperforming then sure, all eyes would be on him, but we had many who did and either all eyes should be on them or we look for a common cause. Maybe it can be a shared responsibility between the player and the manager. I know its fun to trash talk him and i criticize him too, but we know this part isn't true. He's a championship keeper and i know it was a while ago now but on the international stage he's played very well.

Abslutely, It's very exciting times. Also... i feel like the middle of the park and defense will need some additions in the summer... and if this is the type of talent we can find for championship football, imagine who we can get when we have prem football to offer them!

I'm so delighted for Mavididi. There appeared a time not so long ago where it looked like he was going to be left in Fatawu's shadow.. but December... its been a great month for him and January looks good too!
