  1. To "My Old Man's A Dustman" Woooooaah, Leicester's past was brilliant We won the Premier League We won the Cup, then ****ed it up We're now division three You might blame Top or Brendan Faes, Ayew, Winks or Bobby But Rudkin's business acumen Was worse than Mr Blobby
  2. The stat list was awful under Cifuentes and it's still awful under Rowett. I get that Cifuentes was brought in with hardly any pre-season and Rowett inherited a side that was already bottom in those statistics (which speaks to mismanagement higher up), but for either manager to tolerate lack of workrate and commitment and not respond with decisive action, it's a real stain on their record. Both of them. Cajole, encourage, drop the slackers, call them out, aim for improvement - just bloody well man-manage them. Instead, we get awful performances all season as we got outworked constantly, just relying on a bit of magic from somewhere, and then, ultimately, relegation. Crying shame.
  3. Whilst there are a lot of funny posts in this thread, there is also some witless stuff which makes me feel uncomfortable. Our owner said 'we promote'. Whilst the sentiment was utterly wrong, and a blithe failure to recognise our true position, what do we concentrate on? Har bloody har. His English ain't great. How fluent is your Thai? Thought so To me, all the bad English pastiches of "we promote" in this thread are one rung down from pulling your eyes wide and doing an accent. It would be unacceptable if you did it in a public square, so it should be unacceptable in here. Do better.
  4. Asha and her sister Lata were my gateway drug into Bollywood music when I got into it to help me learn Hindi. My fave Asha songs are "O Saathi Re", "Dum Maro Dum" and, from the film Lagaan in an ensemble, "Radha Kaise Na Jale". 92. Some life and works, that
  5. First thing Pearson did was shunt out the troublemakers and attitude monsters. If any player gets the hump with the club, and refuses to work, train, play or adhere to the manager's reasonable instructions (or if they want to use their place of work as a dog kennel ), or if they repatedly breach standards of behaviour and discipline, they should be dropped, they should be shunted to train away from the main group and they should be moved out asap. Even if the amounts realised from sales disappoint our accountants, the cost of keeping poisonous employees at the club, forgiving them, selecting them again and allowing them to undermine the management and damage group morale and performance will be more in the long run. It's been horrible during our demise to wstch certain players rip the p1ss out of the club and be allowed back into the fold.
  6. Hamza playing in front of a baying Pompey crowd with instructions to be tough? Might as well give him his red card now and save his bus fare.
  7. Shortly before relegation in 2008 there was a thread called "Who Believes That We Will Stay Up", and some people signed up to say the Foxes Never Quit and they thought we could still stay up. Others, however, weren't so optimistic. It was pointed out that our team was full of overpaid wasters who didn't play as a team and weren't fit to wear the same badge that had been worn by the previous golden generation, and so, no, we were doomed. I mean this post, you could change a few names and it would pretty much fit what people are saying now (except the bit about England): Plus ça change...
  8. Leeds fans - you know the law. You never get the Olé going unless you are at least 3 goals up with less than 15 minutes to go
  9. Seemed a bit less blatant than other hair pulls you've seen reds for. If Leeds score again it will be fun watching the ground empty. Extra pressure on Spurs and Forest, which you love to see.
  10. Oddly specific, and it's not a bet if it's your hobby anyway.
  11. Rosenior will be reassured that the Chelsea, hierarchy, famously, never make knee jerk decisions about their manager . I wonder whether he will sleep soundly, cuddling his clipboard, tonight.
  12. I'd hoped he would come in, lay down the law a bit, snarl at a few slackers, demand that players run until they are spewing, tackle til they ache and say loud and clear that he would drop anyone who doesn't follow instructions. That he would: Menacingly tell Fatawu that he's got the tricks, but if he doesn't reign it in and play a team game, he'll remove his baws. Tell Ayew that if he carries on flouncing about slowly with his sad man grimace, as if he's shat himself, rather than running til it hurts and scoring regularly, he's out. Tell Mavididi that if he won't actually take on a man and keeps passing it backwards, we'll pick a progressive player instead, who might. Tell Winks - sorry mate, but we've been losing games with you on the pitch, you're benched. Instead, we get an unchanged formation, failures being selected every week regardless of performance and now the manager coming out and moaning to the press that the players won't listen. How far we have fallen.
  13. I had been, I suppose, "cautiously pessimistic" up to today, generally appalled at what we were seeing, but maybe we could somehow scrape survival. (To be fair I was away and missed the Easter games) But I'm convinced, now - we are absolutely donald ducked. Even if we pull a plum out away at Pompey, we are still going down.
  14. Swansea City's co-owner - Snoop Doggy Dogg. Leicester City's stewardship over recent years - Snoop Doggy Dogshit. That free kick was symptomatic and I fear we have shat our pants too often to stay in this league.
  15. We are going to need snookers if we can't get something miraculous out of this and then beat Pompey. So it feels like we are done. Sad.
  16. We've hardly hammered at Swansea's door since we conceded, have we? It's all a bit familiar.
  17. I think Luke T actually tried to hack him down and missed.
  18. Swansea lad should have buried that.
  19. We could have scored a couple but we don't look particularly hungry or deperate to win, and there is a lot of passing it backwards. We've wasted a couple of chances. The ref's been kind to us, generally. Hope we improve 2nd half.
  20. The Welsh commentator needs some amphetamines in his tea at half time. Or maybe to be turned from 33rpm to 45rpm. (One for the kids, there )
  21. For a side a) At Home b) Fighting for our lives c) With the best paid players in the division We don't look all that arsed about winning this.
  22. Ricardo being bypassed there. Or, as he's better known these days, "practice cone".
  23. It's like he's commentating on the snooker
