An almost creditable performance at a place hardly anyone gets any points. Luke Thomas and Jordan Ayew did ok considering the prophesies of doom, pre-match. For all the slagging Vardy got in the match thread, he contributed brilliantly to our goal. JJ should have booted it away instead of farting about to concede the second. He probably needs to be taken out of the firing line. I fear he might get the Ward-esque booing at the next home game. Still, a small consolation is that it wasn't utterly abject and we were still in the match til the end.

When Mavididi knocked it in. We lost that because of brainfart defending, not a lack of attacking.

JJ, Ayew and Thomas all got absolute pelters pre-match and they've all largely done their job. It's boring and fairly crap to watch, but I would snatch your hand off for a point.

Many in here are slagging Ruud off when he's been here about a month, when we were already fairly crap when he took charge, after we had recruited badly last Summer, while we have an injury crisis affecting some of our better players and at a time when (ex Wolves) we have been playing better sides, brimming with confidence. Give him a bit more time and maybe a transfer window before writing him off, maybe?

At 2-1 down, for about 25 minutes in the second half, it looked like we were sitting back and actually *playing for* that result. The lack of attacking intent second half was a bit baffling. What little we had went through Mav, nothing through Ayew. Still, not ten - nil, and no Ward, eh.
