I've been banging on about how terrible he is since his first game pretty much ...but that was because we were a Premier League team and still (just about) had top half and above aspirations. Those aspirations have fallen off a cliff now though and we find ourself in a very different position - Faes is absolutely fine for this level, in fact he's actually pretty good. We should be keeping him now unless we get a pretty decent offer (which won't happen!).

He said he's been at Leicester quite a bit since leaving Everton as he's good mates with Rudkin. Think it was Lineker's podcast. No need to panic...yet.

Long contract and big wages on offer? Doesn't sound like us!

Output wasn't great last year but he's clearly a brilliant footballer. Pretty much the only reason I was quite looking forward to watching us play this season. If we can afford to keep him we should. Even if it means no new striker and relying on Patson up top.

Best to keep him now we're playing at a lower level. Nobody is paying £9million though, so we probably don't have a choice anyway!

12 years isn’t an unusual age gap in football? He was playing alongside Vardy who is 23 years older than him…that’s a bit different!

‘The next Trey Nyoni’ is a bit harsh! Still only 17 and already has senior appearances for Liverpool! Probably wouldn’t have many more if he did stay here…

Never know what's around the corner so I'd be telling him to go for the longest contract paying the most money if it was my son. Not necessarily the best advice though as getting lost in a big club could stunt his progress so much that it ruins his future earning potential. If he's as good as we think he is though, he'll be fine either way.

His passing and distribution is actually probably top half PL level - It’s just every other aspect of his game is, as you say, lower Championship at best. Harry Winks is similar - His weaknesses aren’t as pronounced as Vestergaard, but they’re not far off.

Watched him closely yesterday for some reason. Somehow managed to surprise me with how bad he was One of the worst signings we’ve ever made when you take the fee/wages into account.

£2.8m per place in the PL isn't it? So a points deduction this year would be a pretty decent 'fine' if it meant we finished 19th.

Not particularly worried. We'll worm our way out of it, we always do.

Just what we needed - A bit of positivity!

He mentioned he was good friends with John Rudkin on a podcast recently - Think it was Lineker’s. Would be pretty surprised if we brought him in though.

Add to that - Keeping faith in players who have proven time and time again that they are not good enough. Things will be different in a new setup, under a new manager etc etc.

His recent appearances haven’t changed my mind at all to be honest, he’s just been OK. He doesn’t do anything particularly well - Will struggle next year if he’s going to be a regular. Lower Championship/League 1 standard. Hopefully he’ll prove me wrong…and I’ll love it if he does…desperately need players stepping up next year. Just don’t think he’ll be one of them.

His strength impressed me today…he held players off quite comfortably. Would love to see him get a lot of games in the Championship next year. Not 10 minute cameos though…regular starts.

Fair enough - I was watching on TV and it looked like he chose the right option…just a pretty poor execution. I’d have to watch it back now though!

Was it? The defenders went with Vardy and Monga…I thought shooting was the right option to be fair to BEK…

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd like to see him stay in the PL if he can. Only needs 8 goals to move ahead of Michael Owen and get to 11th on the All-time PL scorers list. Obviously he's already one of the best ever PL strikers, but it would be nice for him to get even higher on the list!

He should be good in the Championship so that wouldn't make much sense. Ideally we'd keep him if nobody matches the clause, and then sell him next Summer for whatever we're offered. Can't do another PL season with him though...painful to watch.
