We are a good team at this level. Our points tally so far flatters us a bit. We are definitely one of the best teams in this league, just not miles better like the points tally suggests. It will end up being a close race for the automatic spots, but we’ll be in the mix. I didn’t even think that would be the case pre-season so still pleased!

I'd pick Wilf over Casadei every day of the week now but; You can hardly blame 'punters' for wanting to see Ndidi moved on at the start of the season! He was beyond awful for the previous two years. As in really really bad. His improvement has been great to see though, even looking past the fact that he's playing at a much lower standard now.

Yeah I can see your point in terms of the resale value. Although I'm sure Watford turned down the £6m option they had on him - I doubt he'll ever go for near £10m! Always seen him as more of a hindrance than a help on the pitch - Even at this level.

We've just given Hamza 4 years. Nothing has been learned. Vestergaard will be here until retirement.

If we are still doing as well come January 1st with a big points cushion, surely we'd take £15m for him? Seems like good business. Although if we are embroiled in a 4-team promotion race by then it would probably be best to keep him!

Well if we sold them in January, I doubt it will be for 'peanuts'. If we get good offers I imagine it will be a tough one.

Even Vestergaard looks decent in this league mate. Praet can be a good squad player for us this season and then leave on a free next Summer.

Stands out like a sore thumb as our worst player. He’s young and I’m sure he’ll go on to have a good career, but he’s not suited to this team. Seemed like we had to twist arms to get him so hopefully we haven’t got to play him for a large percentage of the games! We need Ndidi and Yunus back ASAP.

I know he takes up good positions when we’re in attack and carries a goal threat; but I just don’t enjoy watching Casadei when we’re in possession. Looks a bit out of place.

Yep, this. Always thought he got the absolute most out of this talent personally.

People vastly underestimate the quality of the PL on here. Even the poorer teams are miles ahead of what you come up against in the Championship. (Not including last years promoted sides as they are either still adjusting or absolutely terrible. Early days)

Yeah, this. We are so far ahead now that there aren't any 'big' games as such - None more important than any other I mean. Every game is an opportunity for 3 points...the opposition is irrelevant. Having said all that though, Boxing Day is shaping up to be a big one!

Was Rodgers to blame for everything? Surely the players should take some responsibility for their performances?? Professional pride 'n all that.

I do see your point. I just know I watched him play over 40 times for us and almost all of them were miserable. I know we have players that have improved under Enzo, but the improvements are relative to the level we're playing at now. I imagine Soumare would be doing OK if he was still with us in this league too. Not 100% sure where he fits in this system but he probably could have adapted. Definitely the right decision to get rid though.

Good post. I'm not as convinced we'll have regrets over him, but I think you're spot on with the rest. Not getting him a loan was a big disappointment, as this year is going to be a total waste for him (and us!).

He just looks like he lacks that bit of sharpness or acceleration. He's not particularly slow when he gets going I noticed last night, but he struggles over short distances. Takes up good positions and works hard but I'm not fully convinced with him yet.
