Really thought he was going to contribute this season and be a good option for us. Looking more and more likely now that he's just going to leave with a whimper - What a miserable signing he's been.
-
Well the players would also need to be on board with not going for this to work.
-
Well my point was it’s hardly ‘keeping him on his toes’ if we have to sign him if we get promoted. It’s not really our decision to make if the obligation is true? If we go up I mean…
-
I was under the impression that it was an obligation if we get promoted anyway? Looks to be untrue if he’s saying we haven’t decided yet! It does sort of look like we’re going up now.
-
Given our league position, we probably can compete with the lower half of the PL for signings now. Well, you'd think so anyway...
-
Haven’t watched any PL football at all this season but sat down to watch that one tonight. Proper entertaining. It’s almost a different sport to what you see in the Championship - The different is scary. Yes I know the game involved the current league leaders, but still.
-
I’m a fan already.
-
He’s getting better every game. Good out of possession too. I thought he was one of those; ‘very good Championship wingers’, but I’m changing my tune on that one…
-
Plays a bit like he’d rather be elsewhere. Might be best to try and do a deal for him in January…
-
He’s quality, genuinely love watching him play.

I said on here in the Summer that we’d struggle this season. I thought we’d be battling for a play-off spot. The rot just seemed to have fully set in and some of the performances were as bad as I’ve ever seen…and I remember those Levein years pretty clearly! I’m so happy to have been wrong though. What Enzo has done is extremely impressive - The more I hear/read about him, the more I’m sold on him being exactly what we need now and going forward. It can’t be understated just how much of a mess the club was in. Now I’m excited to see what he can do after another mini clear out and (hopefully) a bit of a recruitment budget next Summer!

I remember thinking the same during our away game against Newcastle at the end of last season. Championship or not, it’s nice to be on the other side of that! -
My guess would be no!
-
Definitely keeps hold of Faes and Ndidi - As nobody wanted them. I’ll give you Vestergaard, but I think KDH does well for any manager at this level. Sure of it, actually.
-
Would he have done as well as Enzo so far? Almost certainly not. Would we still be in the top 4 with Marsch in charge? I’d probably put my mortgage on ‘Yes’. I didn’t realise how big the gap between the top two leagues was now. Our squad is made up of PL standard players. They are poor to average PL players in my opinion, but PL players all the same. That translates to good/exceptional at this level…so it would take a very bad manager to struggle with this squad.
-
Not good enough for the level they're at now. Guess it would be good business for us if it was true though.
-
That is a great little watch. He seems almost relieved to be here and very hungry to make the most of the opportunity. We could have a top player on our hands if he keeps improving.
-
True, but we could have scored 7 or 8 as well. We could be like Newcastle under Keegan in the 90's and not worry about the defence!
-
Regressed? He got 14 G/A in an absolutely woeful team last year...hardly regression is it? He was far from perfect...Stephy may even end up better I don't know, but he is a very good wide forward at PL level if you can play to his strengths.
-
'Miles' better than Barnes? I like Stephy, but he's not better than Barnes is he? Certainly not miles better anyway!
-
I guess you have to switch into Octopus and then move onto their Tracker/Agile tariff after? I think I may move over then see if we can utilise the off peak rates.
-
No, not an exaggeration at all. Did you start watching Leicester this year?
-
Widely regarded as one of the best full backs in the PL at one point…which ended up getting him an England call up. Yet you’ve ’never rated him’. OK. Weird, but OK.
-
Not got your Pro Licence yet? Need to start watching the game a little closer and really understand the nuances of the game. Not like the rest of the simpletons on here.
-
Well it made for a really entertaining game, so I was pleased they played the way they did. ...but I think the best call for Birmingham against us would have been to sit very deep and frustrate us. Then hope their half decent attacking players could snatch something when/if the time came. I know lots of teams have tried and failed to do this, but doing what Hull did would have been their best opportunity for success. We should have scored 6 or 7 last night.
