Poor attempt at humour, my apologies To be clear - I’ll take anyone in that role at the moment. Anyone.

Chelsea are desperate for that dynamic centre-mid yet are happy to loan this lad out. Avoid. Best to just go with Ndidi…At least it’ll start to be amusing when he misses his 25th sitter.
-
Probably the only one still here from last year who I’d like to keep. …but if Liverpool are willing to pay decent money, I guess the club won’t stand in his way.
-
Fair enough, wasn’t aware of any of that. Aside from Brendan, obviously.
-
What are those out of interest? I watched him closely last year and he put in some of the worst individual performances I’ve ever seen for us, genuinely. Not even Danny Ward was as bad as Wilf was at times last season!

Rubbish is being generous!

It's just the lack of imagination for me. We must have a whole team of data analysts and scouts etc, looking far and wide for emerging talent...yet we are signing Harry Winks from Spurs...for £10m. Late 20's, low ceiling, sideways and backwards passer. I'm not sure there is any point in us even having a recruitment team at this point!

Was on loan at Charlton from Palace. I am definitely up for piling on our recruitment team though...if you have anything else?

Hmmm. Straw clutching is all we have at the moment, so I'm in!

Coventry Home First Game of the Season

I'm just basing it on Ricardo not having been very good for a long time now, to be honest. Like I said, I like him but it's not really a time for sentiment is it. I also thought he looked very uncomfortable in the middle against Liverpool. He did OK against Northampton, but 'stellar'? No. I don't understand people waxing lyrical about the first 30 minutes against Liverpool either. We were OK yes, but it was largely them just feeling their way into the game from what I saw. Fair enough on the rest - I just disagree. Some of us are still angry about last year, and it's down to the club/team to breed the positivity now, rather than us just blindly clapping along. We are far too nice and accepting as a fan base and we always have been. I am not a negative person though - I just wanted to make that clear . I just haven't seen any evidence of change from last year, and in my opinion, the rot runs deep and a BIG clear out was required. -

Championship Wage Bill Table - Leicester Highest

As expected obviously, but pretty embarrassing. Actually, it's really embarrassing considering the quality of players we have for that sort of wage bill.- 36 replies

His main asset has always been his engine - Very good in between the boxes. Unfortunately the rest of his game is average to poor - Not too dissimilar to how Chilwell was for us really. Hopefully we can strike a deal with someone and get him gone.
-
Yep. He's never been much of a footballer. Nobody wants a midfielder who can only 'destroy' anymore, plus he's not particularly good at that nowadays anyway...We should be desperate to get rid.
-
I know he's never done anything for us, but if we need someone to plug the advancing #8 role before getting someone in - I'd much rather Praet than Ndidi!

Coventry Home First Game of the Season

He didn't look really good against Liverpool though did he....and you've only watched one other game! I like Ricardo, but he's hardly going to be the answer to all our problems is he. You are absolutely full of blind faith - Very admirable, but you will be very disappointed on Sunday afternoon. Sounds like I'm revelling in it - Not the case, just can't see it going any other way. Hopefully you can come back on this thread on Sunday and tell me how much of a c**t I am -
Coventry Home First Game of the Season

Large amounts of travel culminating in a pretty demoralising game against Liverpool is stupid. We have sold all our attacking threat and replaced them with one winger six days before the start of the season. Again, I know getting players in can be difficult, but the point is fair all the same. Plus I think Coady and Winks will turn out to be very poor signings. Very happy to be wrong on that though! "Good enough to cause a strong liverpool team some problems" - We watched different games on Sunday, this statement is just bizarre to me. Fair enough, it can't be proven, but I think it's a fair assumption. He's not the player he once was, nor is he a very natural central midfielder - Surely you agree this is pretty fair and not a 'blinkered negative view'. -

Weird take. I think it's a fair assessment of where we are at the moment - It's not really toxic to suggest we are going to have a tough start to the season, just realistic. The five bullet points are pretty spot on if we're being honest. Doesn't mean things won't improve before the window closes though. -
He’s the best of the new signings so far. Should prove to be a good addition.

Fair enough. We went down with 34 points last year though. The only players other teams wanted have gone. I'm not sure there's too many left who I would describe as 'good'. I think Coventry would have to be very poor to lose to us on Sunday, although I do think we'll eventually get the players we need in - Got to have a bit of blind faith! -

Imagine. Fingers crossed Coventry are absolutely terrible if that's our starting 11.
