Correct, but in his shoes it would be suicide to put in your notice. If he hangs on, he could negotiate (or his legal rep) a good settlement if/when Top decides to ''remove'' him.

I'm thinking Brentford, Palace, Spurs, Bournemouth, Villa, Newcastle, Brighton etc Chelsea are a basket case, and Man City/Liverpool are too much of a step up.

I know h'es been linked with Man City, but there are 15 other clubs in the PL that would be a step up from us too, and offer more playing time than Man City could.

Thanks for clearing that up - I understand the law for minors. The news are very selective on what they release otherwise.
