Yes but there is often a distinct difference where the management teams aren’t also the major shareholder unlike LCFC where Top is. They will all go, in terms of the earn out it will be a £xx payout if promoted to the championship and £xx if promoted to the PL, which the new owners won’t care as the amounts payable will be structured in a way that they won’t be that material compared with the riches of going up two divisions.

Ayew and Hamza

Certainly could be some hideous clause like that, it will probably be based on promotion or other hurdles so a new buyer wouldn't be bothered if they bought their own team in to do that as it it needs to happen!

Staggered not seeing the Maya Jama photo from last week at the Gentlemen red carpet thing.

I think there will probably be some kind of earn out structure to any deal, which Top won't be happy with. Given the predicament we are in both on and off the field it's something he might have to accept and I'd imagine any serious bidder would be considering.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

I'm pretty sure I passed you this morning around Hinckleh, tried to drive through a puddle to make you even more miserable than you looked in the pissing rain -
Deadline would have been set at the start, there won’t be a “sale” on the 14th this will just be round one. If there’s nothing then citi will have to round up with everyone that expressed an interest but didn’t bid - and any bidders will realise quickly this isn’t a competitive process and there’s potential to get it at a cut price deal. Most would then take it off the market and relaunch at a different time, doesn’t look like we have that luxury so there will have to be some kind of deal done with somebody at this point.

I don’t think what was circling about on the net was real, if so I’d be pretty worried as looks like they have one of their interns on the job. If it was genuine then it might have only been an extract.
-
Hopefully a few serious bidders have, outside of that unlikely…unless someone’s been naughty with an NDA
-
Pages of questions and a shortage of answers? The data room won’t even be open yet, worked in plenty of processes and can’t ever remember answering questions at this stage so this is likely BS.

Was it Leicester fan TV, daddy dork or Sean from Enderby?
-
I think that teaser is fake FWIW. It looked absolutely crap and not the kind of stuff citi would roll out.
-
Rubbish then
-
Is the clickbait or do you have any concrete sources?

Probably a well written article to supports will be better than we’ve had for the past decade!
-
Don’t expect to hear anything on the 14th. This will just be LOI’s. They won’t have even had and DD reports to read yet and that will be when the fun starts
-
Are you dim ? My point being is a new buyer won’t care if the fans are angry, as they are angry at the guy that has just sold them a football club. Plenty of time to get fans back on board under new ownership. Comprende?
-
The fans will be the easy bit. No one will care if the fans are angry, in fact the angrier the better - makes their life easier from a PR point of view “the only way is up”

He's probably skint so needs to toe the line to pay his mortgage
-
It doesn't work like that. They aren't going to put a valuation out there in the market that is low, anyhow the valuation bollocks is all hearsay as per. Wait and see
-
Not sure there is much point, it's up for sale. Just stop going to games
-
Just have to laugh at this point, not even going to raise my blood pressure
