  1. Will be on Sky Sports News if you can get that on.

  3. On Talk Sport. https://talksport.com/radioplayer/live/?popup=1
  4. I passed up the chance to go today. Not sure why but genuinely got more emotional than the World Cup final. Utter incredible and up there with the Headingley 81 legend. Almost don’t mind Leicestershire’s failings.
  5. Watching on the feed as can’t get down and there’s so much leg-side rubbish. Shame, but can’t be too downbeat against Notts’ numerous ex-internationals. One them at least should always shine.
  6. No it couldn’t. With the new law, accidental handball is only pulled up if it helps you score a goal. So bizarrely it’s not an offence for the Spurs player doing the exact same thing at the same time.
  7. Well yeah, I absolutely agree with you. The lawmakers don’t though.
  8. That’s not VAR. That’s the new handball rule where a goal is ruled out if it touches any hand.
  9. That was incredible. Thought with the small boundaries Leics were below par with their innings, but bloody hell Ackerman.
  10. To be fair, he’s always had a thing for aged white fluffy haired mutton.
  11. If you can take goal kicks with players in the box, surely it provides more chances to counter at nearly every goal kick by taking them as quickly as possible. Basically after it’s gone out, get the ball boys to throw the ball as quickly as possible to Kasper who can launch it long to Vardy while a good proportion of the players are out of position and still in and around our box.
  12. Here’s how we lined up in the first game of last season with (I think) Vardy having not featured much in pre-season after injuring himself with England. We’ll certainly have a better side put out on Sunday, but doubt it’s good enough to make up the difference of the top six. Everton should be stronger too when it comes to the battle for seventh.
  13. The revisionism when someone leaves is strange but happens at all clubs. Should go without saying he was excellent for us. Made the odd mistake he might be more crucified for in future, but was by and large quality. Some great moments too such as the goals against Man U, Liverpool and Southampton and do worry about our set pieces at both ends as most of them were aimed at that considerable head. Never mind the ability against sides sitting back to go on those runs. Suddenly a lot of pressure on Soyuncu, but also a great opportunity and hopefully he fits in comfortably from the off on Sunday.
  14. There’s a huge clamour for Ali out, but he’s the leading wicket taker in the past calendar year. Think he could still be in next Test as throwing Leach in would be a huge gamble especially with a debutant in Archer also surely in the team. I wonder if Azad was making his runs for most other counties, whether there would be a clamour for him to open and move Roy down to three/four. Surely too early for Azad at the moment though. Roy should keep a place, though that dismissal today would have got him bollocking in a Sunday village friendly, never mind trying to save an Ashes test. There were here plenty of positives for England, but the be all and end all is I don’t see how they’re going to get Steve Smith out no matter who they bring in.
  15. Watford fans seem to think he’s solid for most of the game but has a catastrophic mistake in him every game - so basically Benny make two.
  16. Heard from a few on the political grapevine for a few weeks now that this is a very real possibility and heard of evidence it’s being prepared for, complete with the Brexit Party only standing where Tories aren’t expected to win.
  17. Was brilliant. Take a bow Gavin Griffiths and Aaron Lilley. Hilarious that after waiting around for hours some of the Notts members went home three overs into the reply.
  18. It’s fine. We’ve gone for the extra batsman with Adil Ali.
  19. I’m Interested to see how (or if) it effects Vardy and others that thrive on running in behind. A huge part of his game is gaining that advantage on the central defender, and from this season he will be pulled up if he’s even half a toe in front of the defender, something he’d probably have got away with previously. The flip side of that is even though linos have been told to flag normally. It’s only natural if they’re unsure they will now keep their flags down because of the VAR safety net. The fact the Premier League have decided the ref won’t blow the whistle immediately when a linesman flags and will instead wait to see what happens, is also going to be strange for a while too and probably cause some confusion. There will be other slight changes too. Almost certainly more pens, despite the ‘only obvious mistake’ line the PL keeps peddling when whether something is ‘obvious’ or not is objective in itself. The fact home teams get more penalties should even out more, as has been shown in analysis of its use in Italy. Hopefully a journalist will ask BR if and what they’re doing in training with the players on VAR. There could be small advantages to be gained, particularly in the early weeks when it’s still bedding in.
  20. The Athletic seems to be working in America. I follow American Football and they pinched a load of top local journalists for that including one I follow. The articles look to be of a higher quality and make you want to read - but then I never have subscribed to read them either. I’m sceptical, but we’ll see. Hopefully at the very least it will encourage better journalism in local papers and less clickbait. As @Voll Blau said, we’re already seeing a reaction of sorts in what they’re trying at the Liverpool Echo. Maybe their biggest recruitment might be a load of lawyers to threaten Foxes Talk when someone copy and pasted one of their articles.
  21. That’s the best day of not leaving the sofa for 10 hours I’ve had! Can’t stop watching the highlights on the BBC website with TMS commentary which are worth a watch/listen for the atmosphere too.
  22. Nah, it’s just that Man United stories generate more clicks from fans from right around the world. Only probably Liverpool could challenge them on the amount of webpage traffic they would generate and they’re doing fine so their fans aren’t desperate for incomings like Man U are this summer so won’t be clicking as much. The media can do daily ‘Harry Maguire transfer latest’ and people will click on it no matter how small or made up it is. Especially as Maguire is basically a household name now for his England performances.
  23. Bounedjah hit the bar with a penalty that would have put Algeria 2-0 up. He was about in tears after that and then after being subbed off he literally didn’t stop crying for the rest of the game and was wailing even worse right through the shootout.
  24. Heard from someone he’s taken “Mahrez’s old number” so will be 26. Might be bs though! Have they even sorted squad numbers this early?
  25. It’s probably been dropped on that guy last min as Tanner has probably been put on a kind of gardening leave as he looks set to be doing the same job covering Leicester for a new website launching soon. I might be wrong on that but a lot of premier league covering local journalists have suddenly quit as one and it’s rumoured it’s because they’re all joining this new site called The Athletic which is going to cover the league for the first time.
