  1. Foxes Trust membership is £10 for a year and obviously there’s no requirement for you to be actively involved - but membership would give you voting rights in relation to the trust.
  2. Would we necessarily want a player from them?
  3. Calculated risk. The income disparities between the Premier League and Championship are such that it’s not difficult to imagine that the financial calculations of promotion + points deduction is a much better position than being within financial limits but remaining in the Championship. The other difficulty in any financial estimates with PSR is that a lot of critical income is sporadic, not guaranteed and dependent on market forces - i.e. transfers. Forecasting a profit and loss for a normal business is hard enough (and very rarely spot on) without having an income and expenditure stream as wild as transfer fees added to the mix.
  4. That will be because it’s league members are much more reliant on gate receipts, especially lower down the chain. High fan attendance numbers have also proved useful for the EFL in marketing itself to advertisers and the like - 5th most watched league in Europe is a decent tag line for a second tier division.
  5. Do you know what the really sad thing with all of this is? That Gareth didn’t end up signing a pre-contract agreement to become Manchester United manager after this tournament.
  6. Same number of right backs too! That said, we still beat Spurs during that era 😂
  7. Even Big Sam wouldn’t have been that defensive. AND he’d have made sure we were a damn sight better at set pieces too!
  8. Fair play Slovenia. Compact, organised, played for each other - I wouldn’t have begrudged them a winner if they’d got one. England - well the second half was worse than the first and Southgate doesn’t even give his substitutions a chance to work. I can only assume Mainoo was told off for too many forward runs after his bright first 10 minutes.
  9. That wasn’t too bad all things considered. Movement of the ball’s been quicker, shapes been better and we’ve seen some ok link ups between individuals at times. What is lacking is a clear idea(s) on our route to goal. Gallagher is clearly an improvement on Trent just for the energy he’s given even if he’s lacked in quality at times - there’s similarities to Jordon Henderson which I’m sure Gareth will enjoy.
  10. Given that was an area our media have focused on, we will be attempting to press from the front throughout tonight. The press lacks a focus, that’s the main issue - they’re all just running to the man on the ball, the better presses go on a defunded trigger.
  11. It’s all about markets. The Premier League has the UK market largely covered and there’s little if any growth opportunities here. However, whilst it currently gains significant revenue from oversees markets as well, they could probably at least 10x that amount by holding just one official league game in those markets. It’s the exact same strategy that the US Sports have been following by taking their games to Europe / Mexico / Asia.
  12. So that would be Phil Foden, Conor Gallagher and of course Morgan Gibbs-White all to join this summer?
  13. Late July / early August used to be the standard release timing before the new trend of releasing on the last game of the season became a thing.
  14. It’s actually a pretty stupid line for the players to take really - it massively puts the pressure on the team to perform from here on. Edited to add missing word to sentence!
  15. It’s refreshing to see professional footballers play to a level that make me think I could still make it in the game… and I’m approaching 42!
  16. Where’s Scotland’s defence gone?
  17. He did complain, as did the entire Scottish bench. Armstrong’s actions make it look dubious, hence why I can accept It not being given… but the defender knew what he was doing too and probably couldn’t believe he got away with it.
  18. Yes… but he didn’t sell it as well as Vardy can.
  19. Given that penalty / no penalty decision has pretty much split instant opinion 50/50…the only conclusion to really take is how difficult it is to be a referee / VAR.
  20. Obviously hope the Hungarian chap is ok, but the Scottish lad involved - Ralston - he’s had two knocks to the head in quick succession too. He probably should have had a concussion check after the first ball to the mush.
  21. Wouldn’t the Sponsorship boards be something UEFA would decide on - and absolutely nothing to do with the EU at all?
