We have possibly one of the worst national anthems there is. It's not about our country it's about the royalty. How can you blame the players for not wanting to belt out a ballad about the king? You can understand how other nations sing their anthem with pride when the subject is more abstract, encompassing things related to the land and people. We should change the anthem.

I think there is an element of toxicity within the fanbase but it's not helped by the ownership making insane decision after insane decision. It's no real surprise we've turned on each other, I think everyone is angry at our demise but we can't agree on what to be angry at so we turn on ourselves.

I'm so fed up of listening to new managers talk absolute shite about getting fans on board etc. I just can't take any of what they say seriously. None of them seem to have any integrity just say what we want to hear.

Me too actually. I was genuinely gutted last time, I felt a deep pit in my stomach - I was way more invested back then and I was just 20. Now it's just apathy and it seems I'm not alone. Do you think some of it is that we've experienced the glory we thought we'd never achieved? Sort of "completed it mate"?

It definitely feels much different than last time we went down. We'd recently got a new owner in with some ambition after years of nothing so it was still all relatively new and exciting if we could get things to click. It was a horrific feeling in the moment though but there was semblance of hope. I have no hope at the moment. We've seen what out current owner is capable of. It's not new and exciting. It's just more preparing for the worst.

Yeah I read four Dune books and stop at that point. Was fun reading about a person turning into a worm but agree they got worse.

Yeah, Hyperion and it's sequel, Hyperion Cantos are probably my favourite sci fi books. The Children of Time series is really cool though, I think a new one just got released too. Peak sci fi world building.
