Brendan Making The Headlines It Seems
Uncle Monty replied to ElusiveEd's topic in General Football and Sport
Seems the media aren't as patient with him in Scotland as they are in England. -
Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread
Uncle Monty replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
We did look good for large parts of that game but it seems we just don't have the killer instinct to finish a game off. We always seem to shit ourselves at 1-0 with 15 mins to go. -
Possession does not win games unfortunately.

Also wow.

Wow.

Agree with all apart from calling castagne a flop. He was a solid 6/7 out of ten most games. Maybe 5/6 in relegation season.

I for one will not complain if we are winning but style of football is entirely subjective. I remember people saying the exact same thing about Sam Alladyce. I was actually happy when he got appointed as England manager, not particularly because I enjoyed his style of play but because it was sexy but because he valued winning above all else. I don't enjoy the modern style of possession football, it lacks excitement and passion for me. If we are going to go with this style Enzo currently seems and great appointment and I'm glad he's here. He has to understand that his style is not everyone's cup of tea though. Saying he'll quit after fans being upset with too many back passes? It's a bit over dramatic. Would MUCH rather a Pearson style FOAD moment but to the whole crowd rather than a whiney comment in the safety of a press conference.

😂 That sums up pretty much every transfer thread.

I think most people put the blame at Rogers' door. I don't hate Ward, he's just a limited keeper as everyone apart from Rogers could see.
-
Same, I hope he comes good as a manager. So many ex pros are comfortable sitting on their cash (who can really blame them), at least Rooney is ****in giving it a go like. Can we all just pray he stays in management and not become a pundit? That would be bad for mankind.

We'll always have that Nalis goal. They can cry into their hovis.

Too young for Pleat, wish I was too young for Peter Taylor.

**** me, I briefly forgot about Sven's reign. What a mental time that was.

There were the Levein and Rob Kelly years... Probably the darkest most boring time in my years supporting city.

Goes to show how hard a job "management" is. Nige had a bit of an ego but he seemed to know his strengths and surrounded himself with a team of people who took care recruitment and training. (Seems Enzo is also doing similar things). There's no doubt Brendan's a skilled coach/tactician, the man won us an FA Cup. But his ego gets in the way of everything and fails in trying to do everything by himself.

I find it funny that his best 18 months was with a team other managers assembled. His refresh here didn't work.

Came here for the Winston joke, was not disappointed.
-
He tries hard, he just doesn't seem good enough for us, so what. Doesn't look like he's going to be starting for us anytime soon. Wish him well and hope he comes good. Does seem a bit mad the hate he's getting on here. Man was in the team that won the FA Cup. Let it go. *Luke Thomas

Doesn't sound good for Thomas. Shame though he looked promising when he first broke onto the scene.
-
Like he met an invisible force field.
-
I feel like fatawu always plays better when he comes on after not starting. Plays like he has a point to prove.

That picture physically hurts to look at.
