Regarding the Americanisation of language - nobody owns a language. It is ever changing and picking up new phrases and terms. I wonder if the ye olde English would be mad at how French or Flemish some of our words sound yet we think it's "proper British". I was thinking earlier about this team being one of the worst I've seen apart from the relegation teams, which is mad given we are top. Maybe because I got caught up on the hype to start off with? The style of football is on par with Rodgers ball for me, maybe even worse. ****in turgid. No urgency, until the last minute of every game.

I was also thinking that it's strange to say it's not the keeper's fault, when it cleary was. I agree he's at risk to concede those types of goals with the game the manager is asking him to play, but it's still his fault the same way that the manager isn't responsible for scoring goals. I definitely rate him though. Made some really good saves this season and much more assured that ward.

The f**king "Enzo way" yesterday was pass around the back, clip to a winger who either cuts in and blasts over the bar or chips in a shit cross to nobody. Looked horrifically like the Brendan ball of last season which was also reminiscent of Puelball. I really wish this style of football could be injected with a sense of urgency. We just never seem to have any. I honestly don't think we have had any sense of urgency since maybe Claudio got sacked?? Even when we're chasing a game we look too relaxed. I'm not saying just long ball it up, but ffs get the ball into the box quicker. It's just too predictable otherwise.

We did look good for large parts of that game but it seems we just don't have the killer instinct to finish a game off. We always seem to shit ourselves at 1-0 with 15 mins to go.

Agree with all apart from calling castagne a flop. He was a solid 6/7 out of ten most games. Maybe 5/6 in relegation season.

I for one will not complain if we are winning but style of football is entirely subjective. I remember people saying the exact same thing about Sam Alladyce. I was actually happy when he got appointed as England manager, not particularly because I enjoyed his style of play but because it was sexy but because he valued winning above all else. I don't enjoy the modern style of possession football, it lacks excitement and passion for me. If we are going to go with this style Enzo currently seems and great appointment and I'm glad he's here. He has to understand that his style is not everyone's cup of tea though. Saying he'll quit after fans being upset with too many back passes? It's a bit over dramatic. Would MUCH rather a Pearson style FOAD moment but to the whole crowd rather than a whiney comment in the safety of a press conference.
