  1. For people saying he's flavour of the month, wasn't he considered in the summer before Cooper? When Cooper was on the verge this place was a melt down. Glad it seems more than half of people are excited. So much doom and gloom for everyone when Cooper was in. Even if Ruud is a failure, at least we can be excited to start with.
  2. Didn't someone describe Vitor's running style like a man charging through with a bin bag in each hand 😆?
  3. I remember that too 😂. Wasn't it something like "I've never had preseason like this, we normally start football stuff on week 2 or 3 but we've gone straight in with ball work".
  4. Tater Peeler aside, Cooper has to be one of the worst appointments. Seems a nice enough guy but he was cursed from the start. I wanted him to succeed but with the Forest background was always going to be a hard sell. Then the preseason games came. I know preseason generally mean FA but we were so shit. Then the signings. Then the complete shit performances even though we got a couple of wins potentially in spite of his management. His appointment really brought about apathy to the fans like I've never seen before. So many people disenchanted with everything including myself. Really hope the next appointment works out.
  5. Enjoying the optimism of the actual poll.
  6. As my wife put it, people value the price of eggs more than women's rights.
  7. People are too short-sighted. Anyway I don't know if you live over here but Trumpers are more than every-other person, it will be really hard going through daily life thinking everyone supports fascism.
  8. Strider, not just an expert football analyst! I'm going to go with this explanation which makes a lot of sense and is much more palatable than endorsing a corrupt businessman and racist. I get that people are hard up over here (as they are everywhere), so it's easier to understand it that way. Personally, I don't think the price of eggs Trumps (pardon the pun) women's rights.
  9. The lying, raping criminal? Well if he's denounced it I'm sure it must be true!
  10. I don't think the world will end but am deeply concerned about the state of democracy in this country (USA). The man sent an angry mob to kill politicians including people in his own party and people just brush it off. He also has a majority of power in the Senate and has puppets in the supreme court meaning he can pass laws at will. What is to stop him from changing the mount of terms a sitting president can have (probably his age). Or changing any other constitutional law. Project 2025 is very scary. If you are a US resident it is a genuine concern. You can say people won't let that happen but the fact that all of his misdemeanors have been brushed aside gives me very little hope.
  11. Sigh. As predicted he wins.
  12. It's mental it's come to this. I'm trying to find middle ground with people voting for Trump but the majority seem like insane cultists.
  13. No problem pal, think I'm in overdrive today. I'm about over thinker by nature.
  14. I agree with this but it was an honest question to ask. What is the perception of the election in the UK?
  15. I don't believe the polls after the Hilary election when they predicted a big win for her.
  16. Something that I've also asked myself and I'm lucky that I'm a white man. I have to deal with my wife's constant anxiety over women's rights being restricted which impacts my mental health. Seeing women in other states die due to abortion complications also gives me anxiety. I have a whole list of mental health related stuff too. Anyway, I asked for something Trump will do that will cheer me up, not give me another panic attack!
  17. US resident here. Shitting myself over another Trump presidency. Somebody please tell me something positive about him coming in so I can have something to look forward to. Unfortunately, I genuinely think he's going to win.
  18. Felt like we were at least trying to give it a go. Sadly, we are just not that good. I'm at least satisfied that trailing a goal we weren't just trapping the ball on the half way line and passing it back to the keeper. There was a bit of fight but just not enough quality. I live in hope we just have more quality than at least 3 more clubs come the end of the season we can build upon.
  19. Was surprised at how reasonable they were honestly. Not to take anything away from our result, as I can't remember the last time I jumped off my sofa so high (and also woke up my pregnant wife who was taking a nap) but I couldn't help feeling for the saints fans (after watching those vids) given how many times we have been on the end of one of those.
  20. The saints fans seem alright tbh. Quite an honest bunch who most seem to dislike Martin They even had a Leicester fan on and treated him nicely. That being said, I hope they keep Martin.
  21. I'm not a massive fan of Cooper or trying to defend him but: F#ck xg **** possession stats While we're at it F$ck psr **** var They are all, in my opinion, ruining football.
  22. +1 for this. Also live in the US - and am interested. Think I asked you last time how much but completely forgotten.
  23. Just listened to the Under the Cosh pod with Albrighton and he talked about McLeish coming in at Villa and that it was never going to work as the fans were against him from the start. Seems there are some parallels here. Nice bloke and all but sometimes things aren't a good fit.
