  1. Soumare's at fault for the 1st, we just switched off and bang 1-0. I don't really know what people expect, Man U away is always a rough fixture for us, 1 win in what 20yrs? We're a newly promoted team, not established Premier League any more. We have some good players but some that are flawed and others who have glaring faults. Also missing our main goalscorer. Thought Fatawu put in a great account of himself. Find it unbelievable that Man U managed to get by without picking up any yellow cards - Dalot for 3 in the first half and the one where Casemiro just steps across to stop one of our lads on the breakaway in the second half. Very weak ref. Poor performance. We need more about us if we expect to pick points up away from home against these sides regularly.
  2. 3 times Dalot's fouled Fatawu, no card. Justin wins a corner but the lino can't see it from 10 meters away. Then the Buonanotte foul on the edge of the box, who they've clearly adapted tactics to swarm and pull back whenever possible. We haven't been great either. 1st goal completely switched off from a throw in, bang, goal. Ndidi might've done better with his chance.
  3. Strange how the broadcasters are showing the replay of a goal 2mins ago rather than a possible foul on the edge of the box which wasn't given. Fatawu's got Dalot on toast
  4. Liverpool great chance to win the League again.
  5. Trincao, now there's a name I forgot
  6. Don't even think it should've been a penalty either. Chaplin's knocked the ball out of his own control and launched himself up in the air towards Fatawu, who was coming in but the contact was initiated by both.
  7. How's Garnacho not been booked for that?
  8. Great goal but we got away with that big time. Ipswich weren't particularly great, we dominated early on, then we were never really in it the game til they had Phillips sent off - which should've happened in the first half after he deliberately elbowed Buonanotte in the back of the head. Bouba did fantastic work in the build up to our goal, hasn't often received praise in his years here. That moment was so important.
  9. Our dominance seemed to subside about the time Buonanotte picked up the yellow card, lost the tenaciousness in winning the ball high up the pitch, and couldn't get out from the back anywhere near as much. Ricky also seemed to fade out of it. It's a game of many little battles, both pairs of wingers isolating their full backs. Delap giving Faes a few digs, Hutchinson vs Kristiansen... fascinating stuff. Although I think with our reliance on the wings we need more control over the middle of the pitch. Wilf is having a great game aswell.
  10. They do, they've been near the top of the industry since the 90's. Shame their YT channel doesn't seem to catch the algorithm/people's attention, I think they make some decent content. Noticed last season when I went in to pick up an away kit, the material used in the black & teal sache was practically transparent close up and had a nasty glossyness to it, really cheap feeling... didn't help that it also stunk of some other persons BO fresh off the club shop rack either, so prompt refund. The trainingwear we get from Adidas is good, with alot of practical bases covered, but the kits have been sub par for years.
  11. These two not particularly impressed.
  12. Embarrassing second half, thought we were well in the game during the first, cut them open to equalise with ease and kept threatening. Came out after the break with no impetus, Buonanotte looked exhausted despite just having had a breather. Missed the 3rd goal but the first two were glaring defensive errors, and of course the mercenary of 10+ clubs Wood had to score against us. Forest back 3 built like brick shithouses. Was a kick in the teeth to concede so soon after the break, we looked daunted at having to go again. Nuno Santo teams usually so hard to break down. Thought Ricardo held up well but would worry against him up against the likes of Hudson-Odoi every week, Ricky’s such a talented player with great professionalism and mentality but the pace these Premier League teams have is immense.
  13. Surely the best celebration to wind up their lot would be run over to the corner flag at the away end and hack at it, as it were a tree. Then howl TIMBERRRRR into the air.
  14. We really should've beaten Palace at 2-0 up
  15. Don't know what else you expect with half the Premier League Club owners being from The USA. It's only going one way fellas.
  16. Other defenders were really frustrated with him in the second half, particularly Faes & Ayew. He had to have a word first with Hermansen and then one of the coaches at the side. He went bright red again I know Justin's a scapegoat, get Ricky back in and all that but JJ's been really quite good aswell. These guys are now up against tough tough opponents every week. Semenyo was a huge physical presence, explosive and skilful; then right afterwards we had to defend against a fresh legged Sinisterra.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx25jy2qpnwo Txiki leaving Man Chitty end of season. Could've picked a better time to announce it than with them battling a legal case.
  18. This place is incredibly toxic. Fair enough you're convinced Cooper isn't the best man for the job, we've lost a great coaching team in the summer to Chelsea and we're back to being Premier League whipping boys. Some of the signings haven't had an impact, manager has his favourites and a completely different way of playing to what we grew accustomed to last season as a big fish in a small pond racking up wins. I just haven't ever seen it go this bad from so many established posters on here. Now stickied manager out because we lost a very hard fought game away at a team who could realistically end up with more than 90 points and maybe even Champions. Everton concerned me, we should be more potent from the start of the games, and the manner we immediately conceded against Palace after going 2-0 up was a red flag moment. We've just stormed the Championship so a winning determination still has to be in there with the players and a win was so so desperately needed. If we don't pick up points against these more level looking games - Bournemouth, Southampton, Forest, Ipswich - no doubt he'll be under immense pressure for his job. I'm just concerned this same energy will then entirely be vented towards the Club, owners, players and we'll plummet as the energy turns completely sour if we don't rebound, or the fans don't take to the next new manager again. We're then heading down to the Championship with a cannibalistic fanbase picking at everything imaginable to bash the Club with. We're now Premier League, but we aren't established any more. This season is akin to 14/15 in outlook. It will be hard, we will lose often, everyone will have to dig deep to stay up no matter who the manager is. I just hope everyone doesn't keep their head in the sand, we get some results somehow, somewhere... and we're more flexible of a fanbase coming out of it, no matter the outcome.
  19. Went 3-2 from a deflection off a corner and then decided to sub one of our 2 centre-backs to go all out attack in desperation.
  20. Don't want to see anything like the start against Everton. Go out to win the game, run them ragged, boss the midfield, cut out their attacks and cold blooded ruthlessness up front, please. We've shown against Arsenal today the talent is there in our players, now go out and don't leave any more space for excuses.
  21. Suprised they didn't look at it. Gordon's skipped over the keeper and dragged his foot, I don't think there's any contact.
  22. That's a dive
  23. Forest bought an easy pen today then, obviously. Hudson-Odoi easing his leg across a running defender instead of shaping to shoot or pass.
