Other targets for the positions we need, might not be available right now. I’m sure we will sign players in those positions before the end of the window.
-
Uncut gems don’t always hit the ground running straight away, if at all. Skipp is young with good Premier League experience at a top 6 club.
-
He’s definitely not better than those two. They are Premier League quality players. Albrighton couldn’t play a game for us in the Championship or West Brom the season before.
-
Sensi levels of madness in here! We haven’t even played a proper match yet or finished signing players this window. Come back in a month and let’s see how things are then.
-
I'll reserve my judgement until we play a proper match. Very poor pre-season, but you don't get any points in these matches. We need signings and I'm hoping we'll look a different team come the end of the month.
-
Good job it was in a game that meant nothing!

It's not criminal if Alves isn't going to feature much this season. Cooper would be a decent judge of young players and sees him enough in training.

Buonanotte is far more developed than Alves, so is currently a much better first team option. We need to do whatever we can to try and stay up. -
I’ve seen a few performances below 6.5!
-
We aren't a basket case at all. People on FoxesTalk just love these kind of comments from the agent, but in reality we would be very attractive still for many players.
-
If he helped us stay up, then yes it would be well worth it.
-
He wouldn't sign a one year deal.
-
I'm pretty sure the plan will be to stay up this season and then it will get easier to rebuild further after that. Ayew will likely be a better player for us this season than many other younger options out there.
-
I wouldn't.
-
He started 30 league matches last season. He's not awful.
-
We need to do whatever we can to stay up this season. If he's better than our own academy players, then I'd rather have him than not.
-
I’m sure the signings will come before the end of the window, but no doubt some tricky decisions to make. Do you wait for your first or second choices in a position or buy your third choice now etc.
-
How about the fact that some fans just want to look forward to the season ahead after winning the Championship, rather than have endless negative posts before a ball has even been kicked?
-
No other Premier League club has that ideal vision and identity that you are looking for, so we are not alone.
-
That all sounds lovely, but it's a whole different world to the Premier League.

It would cost us a lot more to buy two players of the same quality as those two. -

He would have been a decent signing for us on a free two years ago. The type of hard working, versatile player that could have kept us up. -

Good, solid signing on a free. I know a Fulham season ticket holder that speaks very well of him. -
We are in a new financial year now, so there will be a certain amount of money available to spend. I assume it will be a mixture of trying to find some players for a low fee/out of contract and then spending a higher amount on others. The new shirt sponsor will also free up some money for transfers. If we end up needing to sell a player or two next summer to keep within the rules, then we would have time.
-
Yes, in an ideal world I would have a local business on the shirts like Walkers. However a few extra million or whatever in sponsorship equates to more money being available to strengthen the squad. I'm more interested in what happens on the pitch than the name of a sponsor.
