Wow. Overreaction is real around here... We are a bit shot on confidence and both Swansea and Stoke lucked out for their points here. It is very frustrating, but thats football sometimes. Heads up guys, we do have a pretty decent team. But I must wonder if we ever train or at least talk about set pieces, because we can't defend them in most games and we sure as hell aren't very dangerous when we have them.

Well the start of this matchdaty thread tells me, that there is a good chance of a happy post match thread... Come on guys, believe in the Claude!

I remember when being a Leicester fan mostly consisted off being frustrated with Fryatt. He scored a lot of goals, but man did he miss a lot of chances also.... Always did the best he could and I find it kind of sad, that he has to finish his career like this. All the best Matty!

Premier League, 2017-2018 Season Thread

Diving or overreacting to contact has become a huge part of the sport and it is not pretty. Just see our game against the Swans; they dived and overreacted at every contact getting the freekicks they wanted. When players get pulled and still try to run on, they rarely get a freekick, so I understand why the players feel like they need to over do it. -
I am really getting annoyed with the narrative being us blocking the move and being the bad ones. If we had carved in, it would just have showed, that the big rich clubs just can underbid for 'smaller' clubs best players and get away with it.

They like a good dive them Spurs players. Poor Moss is never catching a break is he...? Funny how it is always in his matches, that these things happens. Spurs played an excellent 2nd half though and deserved at least a draw after all. -

After Man City away, our fixture list looks really good. We can still do 7th if the team gets it together. -
yeah I don't get it either. Man City tried to get one of the most creative players in league with a low ball last minute offer, and then we are the bad ones for saying no...??? It actually annoys me that Man City is not getting more heat for this.
-
Loved the way, we went for it. Swans lucked out on that point, but shit happens. I actually thought the James sub was fine, as Silva was looking knackered and kept losing the ball. A feeling of frustration and encouragement is what I am left with today.

I was rooting for Man City to go invincible and win the Prem as I hated the other top teams apart from Chelsea. Now I hate them too... Why is it, that other clubs just think they can underbid for our players, while we have to pay toprate for our targets? 50M for one of PLs most creative players is a flippin joke in this market and we are the bad guys for saying no; what the hell...???
-
What a wank situation. I am actually generally pissed off at Man City for the late low offer. They tought they could pressure us into getting Mahrez at under the market value, so I am actually kind of glad the owners stood firm despite this mess. Also it was 50M and a player Man City valued at 15M (so probably some PL unproven youth talent) and not 65M straight up. Understand Mahrez's disappointment, as Man City right now would have been an amazing opportunity. But they did not really really want him with these last minute low offer tactics. Mahrez need to man up and and realize that it is Man City not really wanting him and not Leicester stopping it. We just want a fair value for one of the most creative players in the league.

Mahrez really picks the best agents...

Riyad got a right foot....??!
-
I knew he would leave at some point, but these bully tactics are pissing me off...

So who is now going to integrate our spanish speaking new players and score an earthquake goal now and again then...? All the best to Ulloa. He will always be part of some of the greatest memories around here, well apart from the bizarre show he put on last January.

Remember being surprised by the amount of freekicks Kanté committed against us. It was like he had lost a step or something; remember him not committing that many freekicks and winning the ball clean. Maybe he is not a complete superhuman after all. -
Easy now... I seem to remember a Huth-inspired team rising from the ashes in this league at some point in early 2015...

We have a number 10, but half the flippin forum can't see him half the time...

Strong team please -
I thought that it was harder for us to get a freekick in this game, but we can't really moan about the red card or the non-penalty for Mahrez. I have seen a lot worse reffing for sure.

Proud is the feeling, I feel right now!

Fantastic effort 1st half. By far the better team. The ref got me flipping out though. When Cahill got injured he was pulling Vardy's arm, no freekick; then Bayakoko do it to Mahrez, no freekick; but when Maguire do it to Morata, freekick right away. Do you really have to dive like a diva and whine like a princess to get your freekicks... ?

Actually kind of like, that we are saving The Iberian Midfield Dream Duo for the Cup game. Fleetwood will run around circles come tuesday... Today's line-up does look a bit weak, but we have quite a few key injuries and this is what we got. Not feeling very confident at all, but I never am, when we play big 6 teams.
