  1. These pundits clearly haven't watched us play much this season. Lucky twats.
  2. We should be on 5 points and had several thumpings. We have been shocking and, as you say, no matter what us entitled lot think, the players aren't having him so there is nowhere for the manager to go but out the door.
  3. We have sacked two managers in five years. Nothing like Watford.
  4. Another situation where those in charge don't really seem to know exactly what they want or are prepared for eventualities. Look at Brighton for example- appoint Potter, De Zerbi and Hurzeler. Three promising coaches who will more than likely attract attention from bigger clubs so are looking around constantly for the next one. We either give managers too long and are then left with an uninspiring short term choice, then go for a promising manager who does well then seem surprised he might want to move on before appointing a risky manager and have to act within six months (probably 12 months earlier than they would like). We just look so far behind on all this stuff. Just appoint a manager and hope they aren't too bad or good enough to be poached so we don't have to make decisions.
  5. This is one part of it. All well and good being delighted he has gone but no guarantees the next man will be more suitable. Sympathy for the players won't last forever. A big few weeks coming up.
  6. At the moment I think our defence is a lost cause whoever plays. I'd rather see us try and get something from the attack. Would Moyes offer that? Really not sure. A lot of experience but, I don't know, just doesn't seem to fit what we need.
  7. The only reasons I have heard for keeping him from the media were that we weren't in the bottom three (maybe not for this week) and we were competitive in games (debateable). Nothing about style of play and improvement in performances. Fact is that teams below are closing the gap very quickly and leeway was almost gone. If we were to go into the bottom three on current form and displays I don't think we get out.
  8. I presume reasonably good means terrible?
  9. Ipswich are showing why Cooper had to go. We all know the squad is limited, and it sounds basic, but if you don't have a go there is no point. You barely attack, even when losing, and you should give up.
  10. I think it is the first time most pundits have noticed we are in this league, to be honest.
  11. Hopefully the next manager will either bin him or tell him to buck his ideas up.
  12. West Ham defensively last season were appalling under Moyes. Our main chance of survival is getting our attack going- would he do that?
  13. Disconnect from the fans doesn't bother me. Plenty of unpopular managers have done well. Him not getting on with players makes the job untenable. You cannot succeed with key players not on board.
  14. It is Utopian! Winning at the team in 19th is what they brought him in for!
  15. Yep. This does smack of somebody they want seriously wanting the job or is lining up something else so need to act.
  16. Far too many instances of players arguing, being mysteriously dropped, cryptic comments to suggest it was not a settled camp. I genuinely think if he had played our best team, had a real go and fallen short then he would be unfortunate. But bizarre selections, no style of play, stats heavily against us and I don't think there are too many complaints. We cannot continue to be a team that loses "narrowly" whilst doing very little. The margin for error in the table is reducing all the time.
  17. How close was Potter to joining earlier? Not fully convinced but worth a go, especially given how generally narrow our searches are.
  18. Don't wish him any ill but it wasn't going anywhere but downhill. Performances were generally shocking. Only part of the issue solved, finding the next one is critical.
  19. Learn from the best and blame the ref.
  20. All different players with different qualities. Vardy suited us in a way he may not have elsewhere. Kane and Vardy could have been a great England partnership. A waste, really.
  21. Even if Saints improve, we are still going to need to find at least two others worse than us. Cannot see who they are.
  22. A really good goal, to be fair.
  23. As Steve Cooper said yesterday: "Better to have no style of play and give away shit goals than have a defined style and give away shit goals".
  24. "A very good coach" who has won 14 out of 67 at this level.
  25. Usually, in this day and age of fans claiming conspiracy and bias, a manager calling out the officiating would get almost universal support from his own fanbase. Yet barely anyone says it is the main problem. Some pundits are pointing out how lame the excuses are. There is no hiding how poor we have been this season.
