So this time still isn't set, then?

Postecoglou's start has done a lot of lifting with his record at Tottenham. They've been inconsistent and fairly underwhelming for over a year. Going the same way as previous managers- good start followed by a poor run and the coach slagging the fans/ club off before a sacking.

Enzo continues to slap Bruss around.

Pre match is just about right, I think. The Kasabian mix works and When You're Smiling is growing all the time. Will never get the lights show but fortunately we shouldn't have many more this season.

Glad he is still scoring to make the "wife is a grass" chants even more tinpot.

Cannot remember a manager getting the consistent reception in their first game. Chanting his name after every goal etc. -
Unlike Faes the lad seems humble and always puts a genuine shift in despite being horribly out of form. Better second half.
-
I know we were under a lot of pressure from them but we never really panicked and lost shape. They both blocked really well.
-
Might just be an illusion but the defence seems far less chaotic when he plays.

8.15pm suited me last night but 10.15pm is a very late finishing time. No issue with going earlier for some.

Might be the best thing all round. A win, plenty to work on defensively, a functioning attack, sub striker scoring a belter and some fortune at the back. I expect this defence to concede lots of shots (although the 31 was misleading, several of those were blocked on the edge of the box) but we got forward much more than before and had the ball in the net four times from good moves. Never looked close to doing that until now. We aren't going to miraculously improve overnight but good that the manager made big decisions and the subs worked too. Something to build on.

3 box 3 will definitely get Yer Da raging along with xG and playing out from the back. -
Which game will get the Thursday slot? Leeds v Harrogate will be the Monday as there are Premier League games on Tuesday to Thursday.
-
Yeah, probably. Hope the kick off time and prices are sensible.

Given the Tigers are at home at 8pm on the Saturday, this likely to be Sunday? Or could we even get an early Saturday position?

Scenes when we go 3-0 up and the crowd sings "Graham Potter, it could've been you"

Looking forward to Reading away where we take 1k fewer than Harborough.

Kettering ruining the BBC schedules here. The Escape to the Country fans furiously complaining right now.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

Similar to Micky Adams' time here. Got promoted and was very popular, a relegation that was "brave" then never got it going again. Edwards' legacy there will be far greater but it is unusual a manager gets a team back a second time. Only Curbishley and Dyche in the last 25 years or so. -
Ourselves and Brighton are in similar positions in that a good season could lead to Europe and a bad one might be relegation yet they seem far better prepared for everything. The only time recently we have been decisive and prepared for change is going from Puel to Rodgers. It is ridiculous how we have been run. Looking at the current situation- why wouldn't you just change for change's sake? Nobody wants Rudkin outside the club, we won't lose a coveted asset. We are stuck with the same man, same mindset. The club is stale.

We have some of The worst general stats for attacking this season. We just convert a very good amount of the few chances we get. -
4th time it has happened, apparently.
