Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Corky replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
We were linked with him well before his 4 games at Man United. -
Our scorelines have masked a lot of things. Should have been well beaten several times. Ipswich have taken a couple of beatings but they have probably been more competitive overall. Looking at Brighton for next week, they have had a good start but failed to beat Ipswich, Wolves and Southampton. We can get something.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Intrigued by this which is a good starting point. Just hope we can see something early to get behind. Players need to lift it too, they could be doing better. -
A great chance for lower and non league clubs to be creative and get these fans involved. Really promote the benefits of attending games.

Our fans turned against Rodgers because he publicly criticised his own bosses and players. Our fans weren't fully behind Maresca but many liked him. Our fans didn't take to Cooper because the football was dire and his constant blaming of officials. Nothing to do with a season nearly a decade ago. Lazy punditry yet again.

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!
Corky replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not really what we go for, though. The King Power appointments have varied hugely in terms of age, experience, nationality etc. The best player we appointed as coach was Sousa and that was at the start of their tenure. You go through the contenders in the usual list linked with the job and it screams mid ranging Premier League manager. They don't seem bothered by playing careers or names. -
Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

Don't think anyone is deluded and think our squad isn't one of the poorest so it is a tough job. Cooper got it wrong by not playing the best team and being too passive. I genuinely think if we have a go the fans will be more accepting.- 907 replies

Time for some of these lads to step up now.

Ruud awakening for the Premier League!

A gamble, yes, but somehow we aren't starting from a totally dire position despite the general awful performances. One thing he badly needs to improve is how we start matches. Being so passive and usually going behind early is heavily impacting us. -
Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

Derby fans not happy. 2-0 down and getting very restless. -
Does that rule out Carsley, too? Would we have to pay the FA?
-
Agreed. It is ridiculous that they would take on board what Robbie Savage or Danny Murphy say.
-
Normally I would agree but hasn't it been suggested the club were affected by the criticism after the Ranieri sacking and they listen to it now?
-
Pep has gone full Micky Adams
-
Bit worried his Den Bosch connection might be an issue with the fans.

I do feel for Steve Cooper here. Imagine being told you aren't good enough by Jon Rudkin.

Can someone find a Nottingham Forest connection with this bloke? Might then be able to bin him off.

Thank you to Steven Finn for calling out the obsession with the Ashes we have in this country. We seem to treat other series as a development, warm up routine for the "real thing". We have recently lost in Pakistan, thumped in India, never win in the Caribbean and have a difficult trip to New Zealand, a very good Test side. Would be nice if we won elsewhere, too., rather than focusing on the usual trouncing we get Down Under and rinse and repeat. -
He's just another Dean Smith or Jesse Marsch, hugely underwhelming and if they'd been in charge and the season has played out the same the fans would still want them out. Yet I reckon if you offered us Nuno right now we'd take him. It's all bollocks that the connection was the problem.
