If Maresca and staff go we will probably need another £20 million before the end of June to meet the 23/24 period. Need to lose less than £35 million next year and then the rules are likely to change. We could, in theory, have a head start on other clubs with players out of contract and sorting our wage bill out. We'll have to wait and see if we have learnt from the past.

Would be far better if these price increases only went on things that matter to fans like funding for safe standing areas, improving the facilities, ground upgrades, help towards expansion etc. I'd feel it was a useful cost increase.

I don't see a time where we have no season tickets. If they expand the ground, can you see 35-37k fans paying a minimum of £30 for individual matches 19 times a season? Yes, they will flog the plastics and tourists but I cannot see them filling the place without season tickets.

Is it beyond the wit of man or woman to look at patterns and work out why people aren't attending? If you see someone missing midweek games and live 80+ miles away then there is a fair chance it is tough to get time off work or public transport is limited. If people are missing many Saturday 3pm matches then that would require further investigation. Most have genuine reasons for not attending and not because they can't be arsed. Open dialogue and conversations, engagement is not difficult.
