  1. And that was during a period of truly awful football. We should have lost 6-0 that day. Pearson did tremendous jobs here but we served up several absolutely dire runs of form and performances. Every manager I've known has. We do bad runs spectacularly well.
  2. Marvellous result for Bren at the Spaghettihad.
  3. Jim White wants 7k at each Old Firm game. But then he never mentions their behaviour so no surprise.
  4. Luton's morphing into Leicester City 2003/04 continues.
  5. Would have been a travesty.
  6. Don't know why but that Allez Allez Allez chant really annoys me.
  7. Has it come to this?
  8. Rodgers had one of the best squads we've ever had and significant money to spend during his tenure. Even if we get promoted Maresca won't have anywhere the same level of opportunity. Not a fair comparison.
  9. Similar to our game at Sunderland. All about the win.
  10. Unlikely. They've wanted this style for 8 years and gave a bloke with half a season of managerial experience the job over one with 10 years because of his philosophy.
  11. Boring second half.
  12. Makes it even more bizarre that we didn't go for Sensi. A few hundred grand would make little difference in the grand scheme of things.
  13. This will be used to beat him with but, at the time he said it, we were regularly scoring threes and fours and winning comfortably. If he had said it now then fair enough, he would sound ridiculous, but you could understand his frustration then. I like the bloke, think he's got some good ideas but has lost his way for whatever reason. I do think he cares but maybe doesn't show it in the right way.
  14. What the hell have we been doing?!
  15. And trusting them to get someone better in.
  16. It is rather relevant, though. I keep reading he is inexperienced and a novice so you go down a different route. But what do you offer them? Eight games to get us up having made it clear we've sacked the last bloke because the future of the club is at stake? A longer deal with the risk we don't go up and are stuck with them in a desperate situation in the Championship? We saw last season what sacking someone late in the season offered. To be honest, I'm not fussed if they sack Maresca but getting a new man in is not straightforward.
  17. We were well clear and were nearly overtaken at Easter. Won 2 in 10 or something (lots of draws) before winning 4 of the last 5.
  18. Ourselves in League One.
  19. Steve Cooper is not coming in for 8 games. Even then, he may start next season with a hefty points deduction after promotion and restrictions on the business we can do as we are currently fighting the PL. This isn't an attractive job.
  20. Says a lot that the only time people are expected to be animated is when we are struggling. The opposite of fairweather fans
  21. The Premier League would, too, if we went up.
  22. Going up to a points deduction or staying down to a points deduction. Great times.
  23. I cannot remember a manager that at some point the fans didn't want sacked. Maybe Pearson in his first spell? Fans will always turn, just a question of when.
  24. Just put Rudkin in charge.
  25. How many times have we played on it?
