  1. Isn't it above the t shirt line or has that been binned? Absolute crap.
  2. Good to see Stockport on the rise. Had some grim.times in recent years.
  3. Loved BT hyping up how there wouldn't be a repeat of last season's game at Newcastle before the mstch.
  4. Had a shocking week yet ended up with the most points I didn't think the others would keep winning but never saw a three game week with no wins and one goal apiece. Huge chance missed for all three and just shows what pressure does.
  5. Being serious, what do we actually offer somebody? Four games, get us up then thanks but goodbye? Or a Scott Parker type on a longer deal? You have seen the risk with a novice. You will also offer someone a points deduction and stripping of the squad (which might not be terrible but enormous work). Enzo has buggered it up but the same exists for whoever is in charge.
  6. A positive, if you can call it that, is this no.longer applies. The off pitch mess, fully of our own making, is indefensible. The "be careful what you wish for" argument will fall down when we end up with the same issues and sanctions as those comparisons. Our fans concerned by the running of the club in recent years have sadly proved to be spot on.

A collection of truly hideous misses this season.
  8. I made the "fold the club" comment last night which wasn't serious but it did get me thinking about what we want going forward. We have done it all, as you say, and probably the only thing I would like is a European trophy or another go at the Champions League. Both of those are extremely unlikely with the current and expected financial rules in place. So what can we do?
  9. Don't think there is a huge difference in quality from the overall squads. Schmeichel was too good for the league, Morgan one of the best defenders in the division over the previous five years, Konchesky an experienced PL player. Dyer was a top Championship winger, Knockaert a class act, Drinkwater, James, King and Hammond a versatile and quality midfield and three ridiculous strikers for that level (Vardy and Wood have proven it since and Nugent was excellent in that league). Like Enzo, Nige would have needed to justify not getting that team up. Fortunately he did.
  10. Guardiola would have got our 2019-21 team into the Champions League comfortably twice.
  11. Part of the issue we had is that I think we were looking way beyond this season. So many are now saying Dean Smith, Scott Parker etc would have us promoted by now but there is no way the fans would have taken positively to them being announced. As much as I love the bloke, people are calling for Big Nige to return who left nearly a decade ago and hasn't been well. The club is not attractive anymore.
  12. I can understand his frustration when he said it but yeah, probably regrets it now.
  13. A shame it has turned out like this because I thought we were good to watch for a while, the team had energy and commitment and some balls had been put back into the club. Also liked him not being afraid to call out the dreadful atmosphere and pathetic fire drills on 85 minutes when the team deserved a whole lot better. But it is about how you finish and we are finishing terribly. The football has regressed and even if we turn it around, the tide has turned and the fans have gone. Make no mistake, though, if he goes we still have huge problems above that will remain in place.
  14. Sky talking up the thrilling race when nobody has scored for four games.
  15. Postponed hopefully.

There is no positive future, promotion or not.

  18. Can we pull out? This season has gone on long enough, the last thing we need is more football.
  19. Thank God we have this to look forward to tomorrow.

Don't worry, I'm sure the clappers will be back on the seats to get the atmosphere going! A failing football club playing in a soulless bowl with a plastic atmosphere. The worst of modern football and they embrace it.
  22. Only if those higher up go as well.
  23. I would genuinely take the club having a hiatus for a year. What a joyless place it has become.
  24. Hopefully they'll do us a favour and fold the club.
  25. Predictable. Plenty of possession and territory then a cheap giveaway and conceding. This season cannot end soon enough. Every year is the same from February onwards.
