Ipswich Town (A) Saturday, March 7 = 3, and I do mean 3, pm
Corky replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
3-1 defeat. They are very strong at home and we cannot defend. Our recent good record against them is ending today. -
We could go to 21st with a win. The incentive is there, I am fully backing the lads
-
Thank God Aiyawatt got us out of there, never to return!
-
When I was growing up we were in Division Three every year so it is no hardship.
-
23rd in the second division but at least he saved us.
-
It made no sense at the time. He was sacked because they were seriously in trouble with the majority of the squad who subsequently performed for Nuno (an example of somebody who is popular there but a capable operator and would be a good appointment if we were attractive to him despite his past). Let's not forget that van Nistelrooy managed the same amount of points from the 12 matches Cooper had.

Not hugely fond of the play-offs in its current guise and this makes it worse.

Remembering When LCFC Moved From Filbert Street
Corky replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
At least Filbert St had its own identity. Orange seats, blue seats, two tiers. Nearly 25 years in and the ground has the same layout as it did on Day One. No increase in capacity, nothing new of any significance. Another wasted opportunity to give us something reasonably different and interesting. -
Cricket (None Leicestershire County Cricket Club)

Hopefully the end of Overton. -
Taylor was horrendous. Some of the results in his last six months were disgusting. Lost at home to the eventual bottom four, Wycombe and a play-off winner whilst lumbering us with Wise. Holloway was shit. Rodgers ruined our best chance to establish ourselves with his usual pathetic behaviour whilst Cooper and van Nistelrooy provided 37 mostly dire matches whilst saddling us with Ayew, Reid, Skipp (for his price).

Gambhir has a really irritating face. -
It isn't just about the owner, a lot depends on the staff they bring with them or hire. The lads at Wrexham appear to have appointed savvy people. Does Ashley have a good group around him?
-
Confirmed for 3pm, three others have moved for TV on Good Friday.
-
Reminiscent of Mahrez at his best, that.
-
Semenyo is some player.
-
Don't do that, I thought you had been Facebooked!

Interesting that the four winners of cups in the last five years from outside the London/ North West six are either unhappy with their manager, owners or both. Trophies are great moments, not the end of times. Usually cup winners are good sides so underperformance should not be excused.

When?

Set piece goals are fine, the build up is tedious. How many times does a ref hold play to chat with the players, the endless grappling, blocking, pulling shirts? The Everton v Man United match last week was painful for this.
-
Oh yes, I remember. They saved us from 5th in the Championship, immediately allowed the manager to leave, "upgraded" to two expensive big names and were then forced to go back to the bloke they allowed to leave to sort out the mess they had created. Thank God they saved us.
-
Does this mean we are clear of liquidation? Others have made the point on here that we never appear to get involved with reputable local or national businesses, just the usual virtual unknowns which do little financially or reputationally.
-
I don't see that last bit happening. I couldn't see any pro-ownership fans getting involved with a Phoenix club.
-
Probably because the silent majority are just that. Silent. Never backing the lads. No chanting. Expecting UFS and the singing section do the work then complain that they aren't singing the songs they want to hear. If people want Aiyawatt to stay then that is their choice. Just accept that it is his fault.

Motherwell only a point behind Celtic.
