Nobody doubts Maddison's quality and sincerity. Fans also have the right to question what went on when they see many of that squad still achieving at Premier League, European and international level whilst they were overseen by an alleged great coach and man manager. There is no debate about last season- a squad of poor Premier League players coached by poor Premier League managers. But we are still to receive an explanation for 22/23.

There is no answer. We had players who are currently excelling in the Premier League and Europe. A supposed top coach. They were too soft, too casual made worse by continual ridiculous team selections (Ward, Amartey in particular).
