  1. That incident badly missed Gary Neville exclaiming "He's in big, big trouble" before an "Oooohhhhhhh" after the first replay and finally "You can see the contact.....THURR".
  2. A shame other managers don't tell the truth about our squad. It might fire them up to prove a point rather than be told how good the names are and how tough it is to beat them, which is bollocks.
  3. They aren't reselling. If people wanted to go, they would find a way. We discouraged many from getting involved when we were strong and successful- guess what, they don't want to get involved in this dire situation instead. Corporate sections are sparsely populated. The tourist element aren't bothered by lower half second division football.
  4. No. It is where I think we will ultimately end up, though.
  5. Isn't it still the case that the hierarchy want heavy possession football as the basis for appointing someone?
  6. Vestergaard too. He took too long to clear, had to turn back onto his left and it carried on from there.
  7. Trains were an absolute shambles today. Cancellations for a shortage of drivers and guards, truncated journeys, delays for signalling problems and train faults. Throw in strikes on Cross Country on Saturdays for the next month at least and you can see why passengers are tiring of it all.
  8. This club has an unusual craving for stewards. We seem to employ thousands to quell one of the tamest fanbases around. They were lined up close to the directors seats with about 20 supporters, whose average age appeared to be 62, appearing to make no attempt to do anything but clearly about to embark on a full on protest (possibly because the teddies thrown last week didn't head their way)?
  9. I do like the "bog standard Championship club" line when historically we are one of the most dominant teams in it. Our fans are now just making things up to justify this. Thankfully Vichai had the determination to drag us towards the top and not be held back by the mediocrity some fans crave.
  10. 2-1 defeat. 2-0 down at half time, definite concession of a goal from a set piece whilst we reduce the arrears without doing much else because the opposition bizarrely treat us differently late in the game.
  11. Keep Monga, Mavididi, Fatawu, Stolarczyk, Begovic, Page, Aluko and James. Not bothered by the rest, Ricardo has been great but declined.
  12. It could have been more that recently he hasn't impressed outside Sheffield United. But yeah, I think the spirit would be higher at least.
  13. I've been thinking about this lately as many of our fans cannot separate the two periods of King Power ownership. Vichai had his faults but he acted like we were a big club- talked big (Europe three years after promotion), acted big (burned by losing Kante cheaply so Mahrez had to wait. If you are pissed off, tough shit). Decisively axed Ranieri, took a legend in Shakespeare out early, would probably have removed Puel shortly around the time of the crash if it hadn't happened. Wanted the training ground and I'm sure an expansion would have followed. Made mistakes but seemingly retained good relations with those guys. This lot- God knows. Amateurs all over the place. Making Rodgers bigger than the club. Running the wage bill to astronomical levels. Dreadful managerial appointments. Chucking toys to fans when in the bottom half of the Championship. Nobody sitting in the front row when the "leader" isn't there. I don't know where they believe we should be because there is nothing about them. We don't strive for anything. No identity, nothing unique in a positive sense. Just a collection of people living off things they weren't instrumental in (a lot of the European finishes/ FA Cup win work was done before they took charge). Taking little action to stop a mediocre squad dragging us down. The fact so many are willing to talk their own club down to defend this regime is incredible. People will look at your list and shrug shoulders.
  14. The empty seats should embarrass the club. People are not enthused by the dreadful football served up but what about the other factors? The tired looking seats, the dirty roof, the inadequate toilet facilities. We have a tatty stadium that was soulless in the first place. Chuck in other alienating factors outlined before and it leads to apathy and absence. All self inflicted and nothing to do with entitlement.
  15. We have had several appalling first halves at home in the past 15 months but that topped the depressing list. The first goal was a masterclass in how to do everything wrong- four opportunities to clear the ball, all then worse than the moment before. The second again was everyone crowding into an area and doing nothing. Just horrible stuff. The ground being half empty 30 minutes in is grim. Yes, the second half was more spirited but we deserved nothing from that. We are in serious bother. Teams below are improving and we have had a terrible couple of games.
  16. And had some good players of our own. Now we have a couple of exciting yet inconsistent wingers, a quality player on the decline, a good loan player and a promising youngster. The rest are the definition of drab.
  17. Hopefully they'll give access to the Concourse Lads On Tour account.
  18. First time we have been in the bottom half of the Championship this far into a season since 2010, a few months after this regime saved us and made a shambolic start. Maybe we should have taken more notice?
  19. Liverpool are genuinely appalling. This is on a par with us in 16/17.
  20. Making a big thing of chucking toys to supporters when you are in the bottom half of the Championship. Small club vibes.
  21. 15th as it stands in the second division, less than five years since finishing above Arsenal.
  22. Yeah, he should be doing better but I was responding to the comment that the squad isn't hugely different when half that starting eleven has gone.
  23. Maresca had Dewsbury-Hall, Vardy, Hermansen, Iheanacho, Justin and Ndidi. He had a much better squad.
  24. Who is represented by the agency we usually work with?
  25. As Abraham Lincoln said, "The best way to get over midweek second division thrashings is to focus on the next positive possibility, mate".
