Really poor to not even have a minute's applause.

Was that written by E.J. Thribb?

Really poor game summed by the closest moment to a goal in the second half was a keeper tipping his own defender's header over the bar. We did enough to win but it is not entertaining fare. The lack of a serious striker is really hindering us, although they didn't create much the young lads brought some energy and kept us further up the pitch. James is a class above and we are far too reliant on him. Reid has stepped up recently to give him support but others have to contribute. We look very mid-table. We should win enough to stay clear of danger but not consistent enough to challenge.

Nifty Parms will definitely lead the loyalists with a rallying polite clap.

Those not in that section who "get behind the lads" will make up for it.

Stewards not receiving usual food vouchers

Again, it isn't the decision necessarily but how it is orchastrated. A well run business acts well in advance.... -
Wasn't going anyway (crap kick off time) and don't blame others. It is a truly joyless experience down there. I doubt it will make a difference (not having a dig) to anything behind the scenes but it is what they deserve. You treat people like customers, they will act like customers.

8 for his loan, 4 for permanent so 6 overall.

Does Rob Walker introduce the players at your local club? He is everywhere.

There's a rat in me postcode, what amma gonna do?

Close but I think 2004 was worse in terms of lack of victories.

We never seriously grasp how important the manager is. Give them a three year deal and hope for the best, basically.

Don't understand this Covid argument. In the summer of 2021 when the world was emerging from it, we went away from our tried and trusted transfer policy of selling a big asset and reinvesting to keeping all the key players and spending large fees on Daka, Soumare and Vestergaard. If Covid was wrecking their business, why did we spend without recouping? Rodgers' squad refresh would have been dire. He is an awful value for money buyer. The worst choice to allow to shape a squad.

Twice in the past 30 years we have had very successful spells followed immediately by a spectacular crash. On two occasions we have been relegated two years after winning a trophy and finishing in the top 8. We have no slight dip or stagnation before the drop, we go in very quick time. There is no adjustment period.

West Ham have Wolves and Notts in the next week and a half. Fail to win both and you would think they are just about done.
-
The bottom half of the second division has never been our natural level. That doesn't mean we cannot be there, or we are entitled not to be, but it should not be shrugged off, excused or the history of the club twisted to defend the people putting it there.
-
It is why I had sympathy for Hermansen when he declined last season. Our keepers are overworked and asked to do too much. He is making errors but let's not forget Begovic conceded six in his last two games. The defence has to do more.

1-1 in the TDI series, we can win it lads!

A lot worse. Overspending on average players reduces the value of your assets. We may have to sell the academy players instead. The narrow vision of the running of the club restricts us in many areas. The apathy has set in and that is often the hardest to shift or turn around.

I cannot see what would be in it for him. Would it be a six month contract then reassess? Two and a half years straight away? This job is far bigger than just lifting the players for a short period of time like Celtic. He should steer well clear.

Thomas on a four year deal to follow Choudhury's four year deal and Vestergaard's three year deal. True value for money.
-
Off the pitch it was horrendous but on it we still had the likes of Izzet, Elliott, Taggart, Dickov and Deane.
-
You would hope there would be a proper tribute on Monday given he represented both clubs.
-
Jordan James. Reminiscent of Andy King in 2010/11 rising above the rubbish around him and keeping us afloat.

Sad to see, really. A lovely footballer. At least he reached and achieved at the top level for a while unlike most of the garbage around him.
