  1. Cooper came in unexpectedly too given it was heavily rumoured Potter was virtually in the door. I don't rate him particularly highly but we were gearing up for that only to see another manager appointed. The Nottingham Forest thing is massively overplayed. It wasn't the biggest issue at all.
  2. "At least I drew a game unlike this clown"- Russell Martin
  3. Every goal.we have scored is overrated or at Filbert St or away so no idea.
  4. Relying on screamers hasn't really been applicable this week. Of the 8 goals we scored, 5 were within 15 or so yards and one was a penalty.
  5. Newcastle were terrible.
  6. Take out the own goal and this match has no highlights.
  7. Celtic losing again. O'Neill back in tomorrow at this rate.
  8. Since they reached the Champions League final they have been very underwhelming.
  9. Could have had that at 2pm and then Palace v Man City at 4.30pm.
  10. Starmer isn't egotistical and also is a huge football fan. I doubt he would want the ridiculous fawning and I'm sure the Euro 28 build up will be fairly sensible and proportionate (obviously UEFA instead of FIFA).
  11. Yeah, we didn't allow them to play and they had one big chance at 1-0. Had we not given the goal away and given them a boost then the last 20 would have been straightforward. We do need to create more but the work was done early by starting positively. We have been fortunate in previous victories but not yesterday.
  12. The James chant has really caught on. Said before that our club specific songbook is generally good and original, even using Bad Moon Rising for Ulloa better than the generic "We've got Super" stuff and "Boys in Blue" instead of "Since I Was Young". Plus we gain points for not taking the dire Allez Allez Allez chant.
  13. Looks settled in the team now. Will never be a flashy player but hopefully effective in an Ndidi-type way.
  14. The best forgotten goal.
  15. He comes across as a good bloke who is probably a limited coach. Took over a very tough situation, made some early progress but regressed quickly. Now appears to have got a first eleven and style of play that fits. Lots to work on but we are improving generally.
  16. This rentatune fanbase winning the league is not good.
  17. Really enjoyed it. Some remarkable goals, but beyond that a lot of desire to not let the opposition settle and get the ball forward. We need to do more in terms of creating good chances but we needed a style that suited the players first and this is. 10 goals in three and a half games since that awful half against Sheffield United and certain players have been removed. Of course, we had to let a comfortable win become needlessly nervy through a dreadful piece of play but overall we looked good and actually seemed to enjoy playing.
  18. Proper Gary Weaver match, this. Low quality fare before some mid table striker scores and "He has been giving these defences sleepless nights! That. Is. What. He. Does" and everything drifts back to 14th place.
  19. Had he been without the injury, and the wages were sensible, I could see the logic. But we have been hit negatively by too many of these deals so I don't trust the club.
  20. Same with Choudhury.
  21. Mid table in the Championship before him, mid table in the Championship after him. That is what having mediocre main strikers in Beckford and Ayew bring.
  22. You can't knock a striker with 90 goals from 580 career club games.
  23. Ricardo is done as a full back. Unfortunately, Choudhury is dreadful. Our full back options are so poor.
  24. Nobody took the sting out of the game. I know metronomic passers aren't hugely popular but we needed a Winks-type (not specifically him) who would just being an element of control.
  25. No excuse for it being that bad.
