Yeah, quite stark how few interesting players we actually have. If we can get a couple of youngsters involved then great.

Root is genuinely world class but also has the luxury of playing for a side that plays a lot of matches. Potential world class players in South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, even New Zealand won't have the chance to rack up huge numbers now.

Hopefully Liverpool fans will now see that, to most other fans, it is just another club throwing ridiculous money around. They are very well run but other very well run clubs cannot get anywhere near this level of expenditure.
