Last time there was more of a pass from the fans as it was the first relegation, this doesn't wash now. We will need to sell players and replacing them won't be straightforward. When did this notion that winning the UEFA Cup/ Europa League/ Conference League means that you are Champions of Europe begin? Ipswich, West Ham and probably now Tottenham all peddling this.

In fairness to the casual observer, the media don't help with their "verdict imminent" stuff when it clearly isn't. It is a complex and lengthy case, as you say. There is definitely a boredom factor at play. The whole FFP/ PSR subject is tedious. Going to sound very old fashioned but we didn't get into football for this.

I think we have to be realistic here. This is a total mismatch that is never lasting five days. Ideally we would have a reasonably competitive three match series but it isn't going to happen.
