  1. If he had given it two or three years after the crash, felt he couldn't carry on and sold up I genuinely don't think anyone would have had a problem. We have to judge on the basis he wants to continue and presently we are in turmoil on and off the pitch. This last week has carried on a pattern. Nobody wanted it to play out like this but we cannot hide from it.
  2. 72% possession each, 2 shots on target for Rangers, 3 for Celtic. Xg 0.57- 0.65.
  3. According to TalkSport, two have died.
  4. ?? I said that the playlist was Kasabian heavy given we have three songs in a row up to kick off.
  5. Can't go much any more (location and timing of matches) but delighted that crowds are strong and the interest is growing. I know we have been strong in the T20 generally but always against the backdrop of poor Championship form. Doing well in both would be huge for the club.
  6. Oh look, there is a women's and men's T20 double header at Edgbaston. Almost as though they could have done that 20 years ago, made it accessible to more, allowed male and female supporters to connect with the teams and gradually grow the interest without resorting to made up teams advertising crisps.
  7. Rodgers played some good football for a while and arrived at the club (as did Top in his current role, albeit in horrendously tragic circumstances) with the benefit of the hard work and success of previous people. They didn't need to do too much for a couple of years as the squad matured and improved. Rodgers' attitude after the Cup win was disgraceful and indulged by the board. We are still paying for it today and will do so for a long time yet. They are all to blame for the past four years.
  8. The knock on effect from this will be the doubt as to who is in charge, then how long a new manager will take to be appointed, what players they want to bring in, want to keep, whether they will use the academy etc. All while wasting valuable time. Honestly, we have known for six weeks we will be in this division as confirmed. From mid-March it was virtually nailed on and still we are not sure if the manager will stay and who the next one will be. What the fvck have they been doing!?
  9. No wonder managers here either end up desperate to leave or take the piss.
  10. So they aren't talking to the manager they have currently got or any they may want. Superb stuff.
  11. PSR is the most boring aspect of football. How predictable that we are heavily involved in it so we need to read up and follow it instead of being sensible and mostly avoiding it. "I hope Nick de Marco can do it for us!". Really gets the juices flowing.
  12. Appoint a new bloke, keep Ruud and alternate who is in charge each week.
  13. It is entirely plausible they haven't got any.
  14. I'm sure he'll chat to @Vacamion about the delights of the Old Firm before deciding.
  15. Barnes, Maddison and Dewsbury-Hall all winning trophies and playing in the Champions League next season. Tielemans was goal difference away from a second straight campaign in it. But yeah, Rodgers didn't have the players and needed backing.
  16. His football can be dull (and entertaining) but he isn't a shit manager. Don't think he will win the league but will be top 4 regulars and win cups.
  17. I do like this "only team to win all trophies" boast as though Real Madrid or Bayern Munich will finish 7th in their leagues and compete in this.
  18. Assist for Dewsbury-Hall
  19. Who is this bloke with candy floss hair coming on?
  20. We need European trophies won by blokes with Yer Nan haircuts.
  21. It is correct that he has never had a goal or assist for us, isn't it?
  22. Start by getting rid of the naffness overwhelming the club. The clappers, the new PA bloke, the tone deaf social media stuff. Even the ground looks and feels second rate. If we are going to have to sit in a soulless bowl at least make sure it is clean, spacious, the seats aren't faded and the toilet facilities adequate.
  23. Didn't he drop the ball on Shinji's knee which bounced in during a League Cup game for Liverpool before he joined? Edit: He didn't. Was a classic Shinji bobbler, though. Ward at least dived and looked the correct way.
  24. Ward will never be above third choice again. He lacks so much in terms of technique, agility, presence that it cannot be coached now. I hope Iversen gets a good move.
