  1. He signed his last deal when he was 18/19 on probably no more than £20,000. By pushing this story may get him a new contract on far greater terms. Poor youth development? Give your head a wobble. How many times have we promoted from our academy over the past 10/15 years and they have used us as a springboard to further progress their careers to play in Europe and win titles, including the champions league. Yes, more recently the club has been run poorly, but I can't fault the poor youth development.
  2. Contracted until 2027. Agent play for a long term contract me thinks.
  3. Could this be agent talk for a new contract and guaranteed starts next season? His development would be best served with one of the strongest teams in the Championship next season before making the step up, should we not get promoted next summer. Percy has had a few articles wide of the mark LCFC related this season. Hopefully, this is another one 🙏
  4. Top of my list, his teams are difficult to beat, resilient and have grit. Everything that we don't have currently. All this talk about him not giving youth a chance, can anybody name talents that have been wasted at Burnley or Everton over the past decade? Dwight McNeil is the only one I can think of, which he promoted with great success. Dyche has made Branthwaite the 50+ million defender that he is today. Two good examples of his work with young players 👏
  5. Yes, now we all know what he's capable of. Could have easily gone either way before he joined though is the point I am making. We have seen many goalkeepers from other countries fail to adapt to English football. Had that been the case with Mads, the club would rightly be slated for selling Iversen for a few million and leaving Ward as the back up. As I alluded to in my earlier comment, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  6. I mean tbf we recieved offers for Iversen when he was our number one following relegation and we just signed an unknown Hermansen. Easy to say slate the club in hindsight, but that could easily have left the club short with an unknown being out of his depth in a new league.
  7. Spot on with everything that he has said there - anything that brings the club into scrutiny gets a gold star from me. I'd be happy with Nelson, Souttar, Coady and Okoli next season.
  8. Mavididi/Alves and Fatawu/???? - on both wings next season. Highly doubt Monga stays with all the hype/talk, but would like Poku as an option, but I guess that depends on Ayew and DCR moving on
  9. Have I missed something? What evidence do we have of him throwing a fit? I agree with the previous comment that Nelson would do well next to Coady.
  10. Squad built around Alves, Fatawu and Nelson. Add to that players who have the hunger and desire to play for this club. If that comes over ability, so be it, but I'm sick of seeing players go through the motions and checking out. Poku could be an option on a free - someone who wants to improve their game and move onto the next level. Right age to develop and sell on for a bigger fee. Could be a ready made replacement for Fatawu once he establishes his fitness.
  11. Fatawu. Looked the most promising this season.
  12. I can't see any team buying Bilal for the price we would want - his attacking output does not justify this. We have got lucky with Fatawu's injury as he will likely be here next season. Daka/Evans Alves/Mavididi, Bilal/Page, Fatawu/McAteer I'd like a proven striker at that level and I fully expect Monga to leave in the summer.
  13. I can't see any Premier League team paying anything close to the numbers that we would want. His attacking output does not justify a £40m price tag at this moment in time.
  14. Interesting that Cardiff have played him RW, always thought he was a LW. Him and Fatawu could be devastating next season on either wing!
  15. Loan move with a buy option was the best source. Highly doubt anywhere close to that figure was offered.
  16. I'd imagine he has a low release clause in the event of relegation or an acceptable offer in order to resign for us last summer. If people think that is 15+ or he stays with us then they're in dreamland.
  17. That's interesting. Thanks for sharing 👍
  18. As much as I want bash the club, this is not money up front or an obligation, so it doesn't work out as any PSR profit.
  19. Oh yes, I don't know why I thought it was a loan swap 😂 nothing surprises me with this club
  20. What happens when Coady keeps Wolves up, then returns to us for Championship football next year on his 70k wages 😂😂 this club
  21. Can we swap Vesterguard and Faes too?
  22. Why not, the last Austrian from Germany turned out good
  23. You win some and you lose some. We got Mads, Fatawu and BEK from Glover scouting, but yeah he really isn't very good.
  24. Rinsed them of 10 million for Cannon too.
