Not bothered about this one myself. Sounds alot of money in a position we don't really need to invest - feels like a luxery signing. For me, striker and an 8 are the crucial positions and this is where the money should be spent on the spine of our team.

Good news this for me. Ndidi, Winks, Soumare, Hamza, Braybrooke and Golding are good options for Cooper to assess over preseason. Still missing that 8/10 for me - If that is a loan signing of Carvalho or Smith-Rowe or spending big on O'riley.

Apart from Coady, who can't get into the team, the others were with us when we got relegated. So yeah, I think he's our best defender IMO, just didn't suit Enzo's philosophy over the last 12 months.

I can see this happening with the England U17 connection. Mentioned him before, but I would be looking at Ben Brereton Díaz, either on loan or a low fee. Young player, coming up to his prime and a goal contribution every two games for a struggling team last season.

Give him pre season and properly assess. But if he isn't going to be in the team, loan him out to allow him to develop. Regular first team football in the Championship will help us assess Cannon for 12 months time - especially if we are in the Championship due to the deduction.
