"Average" always make me laugh in football. Pretty much all the league is "average" aside from Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool. We're less than 10 games in so you can't really read much into the league table yet but Forest have got results away at Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton this season already, having conceded only 6 goals. They're clearly not a bad side.

Everything is social media and money driven nowadays isn't it. Wish football would be separate from that.

I do think if you get the first goal on Friday then it'll be a struggle for us to get back into the game. You've conceded something like 5 or 6 goals all season so far, which is amazing considering you've played Liverpool, Brighton, Chelsea and Fulham already.

Not every team played like that. Leeds and Hull came at us, and beat us, for example. But I totally understand why teams do that. We had the biggest budget, and constantly told how our squad was one of the best ever at that level, and we were playing against sides such as Rotherham and Plymouth. The contrast is massive. Can't expect them teams to come at us, just as I wouldn't expect us to go and attack Manchester City.

I will never understand how Nuno and Puel gave us a 4-3. In the league..... years ago. Off the top of my head. I've been to at least 3 games that have gone 3-2 either way there. Also seen the 4-1 under Rodgers, 5-1 under Pearson. A couple of draws, usually 2-2. They are usually entertaining games tbh. My first ever visit there was the 1-1 draw when Connolly scored in the last minute. I think you maybe right. I was getting confused with the 0-2 and 2-2.

Ah yeah that's right. My memories of Forest games under Pearson are not particularly great as we never seemed to get a positive results, aside from the 3-0 and 2-3. Rodgers got hammered on our last visit to City Ground but, good grief, that 5-1 game under Pearson was horrific. I left the ground as soon as they got their third our fourth.

I think this was when Pearson went mental at their penalty. Maybe I've got the wrong game actually. I thought it was when Whitbread conceded a penalty.

Again, I'm not sure we even got to the part of him turning us down. He was on a podcast recently talking about how much he wanted/tried to join us. You seem to be mixing up us bidding for players with them turning us down. Think about it. Nobody is ever going to reject a Champions League club to stay in a relegation battle.

He ended up going for 1.5m because his contract was up, but in an interview years later he did say he'd have joined us if he had the chance. Tbf they usually seem to start seasons slow. I’m sure when they got to the play off final they were bottom of the league around October time. That said, I do feel their “time” has passed now. I think they needed to go up last season or the season before. Robins still done an unbelievable job though.

This is Rudkin's fault is it not? I thought this is why we all want him out, because of his handling on transfers and contracts. Can't have it both ways. Can't blame Rudkin when we like the manager but then don't blame Rudkin when we don't like the manager.
