  1. Yet again people were praising his new contract. Could never get my head around it. Not good enough. Another one we’re stuck with.
  2. He has always been terrible. Always the basics of his game have been shit. But I had to put up with the same old defence every year of him and it was boring then as it is now. He offers nothing. Waste of a starting position in the team.
  3. After the Wrexham game I said he is a mid table manager. I’ll stick with that.
  4. They said last week they were going to boycott. They have been protesting before games.
  5. Good for us he probably won''t be playing then.
  6. I asked which teams have a better squad than us? To which you didn't answer. I'm not saying this squad is good enough for the Premier League. I said in my post the squad excuses would be justified if we were in the Premier League. But we're in the Championship and, while I don't rate some of these players, these players are still better than most of our opposition. Our lack of strikers is our weakest area, I agree, but aside from that our wingers and our central midfield is stronger than a lot of opposition teams. Soumare and Skipp are failures for us, yes, but stronger than what Portsmouth, for example, to bring off from the bench. I don't think people understand my point here but compare our squad to our opposition each week and tell me who has the better squad. I don't rate Faes/Vestergaard but they would still get into most, if not all, the other squads in this division. I'm sorry but people are excusing the manager for underperforming with this set of players. I expect us to beat Wrexham and Portsmouth at home. We relied on a late winner to beat Sheffield Wednesday's B team ffs. People point out individual errors, which again I agree with, but the manager keeps on picking these same players. I can accept he is new into the job, I'll always allow a new manager time, but it's the same thing over and over again that I am already frustrated with and if we don't get promoted then this season will be a failure.
  7. Also consider losing Trent is massive. Watching the game yesterday you could see how Trent would play a different ball than Bradley would, who often just goes back. Not that he's a bad player but he's not as attacking or creative as Trent.
  8. Course he can’t, nobody can, we have one of the best squads in the division. I think only Ipswich can boast a better squad/more depth. I could accept the squad excuse if we were in the Premier League but we’re playing against worse squads, less resources, pretty much every game and they are still taking points off us. Portsmouth were missing three good players ffs. We haven’t played well for a full game this season. The fact we’re 4th isn’t an achievement, we’ve won 4 games and 2 of those were against promoted teams.
  9. Starting? It’s obvious this was going to happen. Any club with knowledge would have been looking at a good replacement for Vardy years ago. But that’s not us.
  10. They were quiet first half. Good following, especially with the KO time, but as expected given they are a well supported club.
  11. Both terrible. Never liked either of them.
  12. Be a tough game this.
  13. Too many excuses, we have gained 2 points from Wrexham H and Portsmouth H. Not good enough. Pretty much every other manager in the division would love to have our squad (possibly aside from McKenna at Ipswich). Yet again I’ve just watched a manager with less resources, and a worse squad, get a result against us. Some of our players might be poor but they are not worse than the opposition. The manager keeps picking these players despite the fact they continue to make mistakes btw.
  14. It was always going to be a big problem for us this season.
  15. Mousinho done a great job. I said in the summer when people were seemingly in love with Rohl that Mousinho had done the best job in the division.
  16. Derby as well, and Charlton earlier this season. We haven't played some of these clubs in years. I think tomorrow is the first game against Portsmouth since 2011.
  17. We should be pretty much beating most teams, especially at home, but the job Mousinho has done is superb and it'll probably be a tougher game than we expect (.. or maybe we do expect it considering the result against Wrexham).
  18. Portsmouth were allocated the full amount and have sold out. Not that it surprises me as they are a well supported club.
  19. What sacrifices? He was on gardening leave at QPR before last season even ended because he wanted to speak to West Brom.
  20. I meant team as in people around him - staff - not team as in the players.

    Academy

There are horror stories but also good stories. Work hard and keep his head down. I went to school with 4 or 5 friends who went to academies but only one ended up being (and still is) a professional footballer. From that what I take is it's just as important being focussed/determined off the field as well as on it. Also. Congrats and good luck!
  22. Foden never does anything for England. Don't see how he gets into the team.
  23. Vardy made his league debut the week before, at home to Peterborough, and got an assist if I recall correctly. I was at that Charlton game, can't remember much aside from losing, but I also remember going to Blackburn away the following week and Vardy scoring his first league goal. I think after that I backed him on here a lot when other's didn't. A rare time I got something right!
  24. In terms of defenders Maldini should be top 10 without a doubt. Also Cannavaro (71), Nesta (74), Cafu (68) should all be higher up. Easily top 15.
  25. Not sure if Maldini was a better centre back or better left back (in my time I remember seeing him at left back) but if I count Maldini as a centre back then Ashley Cole is the best left back I've seen. I think Cole remains underrated, even in this Country, and you're right it is probably for the offield stuff.
