Same thing every game. So boring. We don’t even look like a team aiming for promotion.
-
Similar squad that won the league under a better manager (although I don’t disagree they are mediocre, I can’t stand a lot of them).
-
Mid table manager.
-
He’s shit. Always has been, always will be. Has one or two decent games at this level and people talk him up but in reality he is awful. Can’t head the ball, not strong enough and can’t run. Never seen a bloke so big lose so many battles. Can’t wait until the day he is not at this club.

Best control from Ayew I've seen!
-
"Loves to defend" though remember.
-
Amazing reading stories like this from people who were there, who it effected, yet years later some people play it down as if The Beatles didn't change anything. I think anything like that sets a cultural movement and changes a generation of people.

hahaha poor @The Bear never escaping these comments now.

Because of Pearson and his staff, nobody else, and they are not here now. Although 12/13 we bottled promotion anyway given we were strong until losing at Peterborough, then ended up winning only 2 in 15 so we ended up only scraping the play offs anyway. But, more to the point, we haven't got them people here now. Anything other than promotion this season would be failure and then we run the risk of potentially becoming a big club swallowed up by the Championship again just like last time, just like WBA, just like Middlesbrough... I would also argue whichever three teams get relegated from the Premier League this season are then going to be stronger than us next season, if we were to stay down, too. That's on top of then potentially losing Fatawu, Monga, etc.

I think we'd struggle to put four past anyone.
-
Their defending was awful for the goals, pretty sure Brighton had free men time and time again. That's on top of losing the ball out from the back for the third. I looked on their forum and it seems they have problems defending set pieces. More and more of their fans seem to want him out now.
-
He's made mistakes. What do you expect?
-
Got to win this. Results not been good enough.
-
Why would I want us to continue playing second tier football? Hopefully Sunderland carry on picking up points to get rid of the "you go up just to come back down" nonsense.
-
Sunderland been brilliant. Nice to see them shutting up the “it’s a closed shop” brigade.
-
Here we go with the “lack of service” which was used to defend the likes of Daka.. He got the ball, from a WBA player I think, and had a good opportunity but chose to shoot and blazed the ball well over the bar. That’s on top of choosing to dive at another opportunity. If he is any good for us then I will be surprised.
-
He looks like his goal record suggests he would.
-
Potter sacked. On a Saturday.
-
Pushing the ball back into the danger zone yet again and we were lucky it didn't cost us this time. Still not convinced with him.
-
I wasn't convinced why we went after him and appointed him. Still not convinced after 7 games, don't think we've actually played well in a full game. I said prior to the season my biggest worry was scoring goals.
-
If football is ruining your life then I wouldn't bother with it.
-
I just used this as an example but the game was actually at Home Park so Barnsley were 4-1 up away from home which makes it even worse.
-
Not sure about that late into the game but the one I point too, which I can recall, is that Barnsley were 4-1 up at Plymouth in 2009 and after 60 mins it was abandoned. Clearly this was not 80 mins but only 20 mins previous and a 3 goal advantage instead of 1, and it was Barnsley who were away. Replayed game, in full, ended 0-0.
-
It has to be winning promotion, whether it be 1st/2nd or play off winners. Sorry but anything else is is failure.
-
Loser mentality. Couldn't believe how many people I walked past post match last week saying it was a "good point" against Cov. We should be aiming to win every game.
