I'm not one for using that because people threw that at our title winning season which I did not agree with either. After 20 games a team isn't top 3 by luck or by other's failing.
-
It just gets worse. Never seen a supposed director of football get away with delivering rubbish time and time again.
-
Forest win. We need to stay within reach of you, especially considering your fixtures that are coming up. It's annoying Forest will go joint 2nd but they won't win the league.

Yes. He made no intention of winning the ball. He's a right knob. Always does things like this, deliberate challenges, but one little touch on him and he's down on the ground in no time.

Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread

We can hope. I enjoyed them being 1-3 up at Hull only the draw. -
I'm Chesterfield based. Think the peak district takes most of the hit but we often have spells of snow and the occasional flood.
-
Got lots of snow here but no flooding thankfully. I only walk to work so not in any danger trying to get the car out. We only recovered about 6 months ago from the October 2023 floods.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Fox92 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's just the same excuses. When we beat Southampton under Cooper "it's because Southampton are shit" or "we are lucky" yet when we lose under Van Nistelrooy "it's because they're better than us". Before Newcastle beat us 4-0 (and it could / should have been at least 5-0) they were without a win in 4 games which included losing to West Ham at St James' Park. We lost to an out of form Manchester City team who, in the previous game, couldn't beat Everton at home. They also drew away at Palace in the same month. So what exactly is this tactical plan of Van Nistelrooy's? 7 goals scored and 17 goals conceded in 7 games with now 5 defeats on the bounce. Even in his only win we were "lucky", which is how you described Cooper's wins, against West Ham. "4 points from 7 isn't that bad". What has happened to our fanbase!? No wonder our players don't look like they care. The lack of squad depth, the lack of quality in the squad, is effecting Van Nistelrooy just like it effected Cooper. We have a lot of terrible players and I was always surprised people said, under Cooper, "a better manager would have us higher in the league table". If we finished outside the relegation zone, which we were never in under Cooper, then I'd have taken it. We need someone to totally rebuild this squad and we need people above the manager, for example the director of football, sacked. I wouldn't be surprised if it's true that Graham Potter turned us down twice. I wouldn't want to work for a clueless board and clueless director of football. -
Yeah. Amount of away games I go to where the home team will play video of success, whether it be Forest, Leeds, etc, yet their fans don’t need to applaud it.
-
You seen how many still stand and clap that montage before each home game. It's been 9 years and still goes on.
-
Just looking at Newcastle's fixtures. They have Wolves H, Bournemouth H, Southampton A, Fulham H next four...
-
That pass to Maguire bobbled and was practically behind him. Funny miss though.
-
He’s had a great career already, and is wanted by Real Madrid, yet your average bloke thinks he’s overrated because of one bad game every now and then.
-
Look at that away end!
-
I’m worried about a potential upset given QPR’s recent form. We have to play a strong team and just have to win.
-
Should never really head it centrally like that but God knows where the midfielders were again.

17 goals in 7 games isn’t great regardless of opposition. I don’t see how anything improves without new players, unless Ruud is the miracle worker I don’t see him in. You never know though. -

We’re conceding goals at an alarming rate. He needs to do something to change that. How many conceded under him now!? -
Not sure how either manager keeps playing him after all the mistakes. That said, the second goal today, has to be down to more than Justin not just lumping the ball out of play.
-
Saw this thread as hot. Thought we were bringing him back at first. Damn you. I'd take him in defence on his own over the four we play now.

Don't think I missed the point of the post I quoted. The post I quoted said we got what we deserved for looking at players at Fulham/Palace/Wolves and I pointed out some good players in these teams, players that would improve us. I've never rated Reid, during his time at Fulham or Bristol City, but Fulham have been solid since they got promoted and Reid has been part of that squad. They aren't just doing okay now because they got rid of players like him. I fully understand the point of people being frustrated at us going for aging players and paying too much, whether it be transfer fee or wage. I agree with that no doubt about it. However, check the threads, people were saying the signings were good for "experience". Even I got slated for calling Winks "average" when we signed him.

Bottom half was probably stronger then that it is now. QPR finished bottom that season but won 8 games, I can't see Southampton winning 8 games this season. We're 3 points off 16th (Everton) right now, we're hardly doomed with relegation as I type. Granted, I can't see where our next win is coming from but teams around us all have difficult games too (for example Wolves have got Forest, Newcastle and Chelsea in their next three games). Depends on Wolves and Everton for me. I think Palace will stay up and they've had a nice run of form since their early poor start (aside from getting hammered by Arsenal). Wolves have had a turnaround but I'm not convinced they keep that form up. Everton will probably do enough to grind out wins and clean sheets at home. Personally I am very sceptical of Van Nistelrooy but I hope I am proved wrong. I did think we'd go down prior to the season starting and have not seen anything to change my mind. -
I mean. I'm usually optimistic but this board, this squad, this season, the two managers... they've all taken it out of me.

Maddison scored 10 goals and got 9 assists in a season we were relegated. He contributed much more than most of the other players. We lost him and now have very limited creativity and goals from midfield. He was far from the problem.

The passion is superb though. The players and fans look like they actually care plus I always feel refs let more go.
