Can't believe when he emerged some people near me were chanting his name. I haven't got it in me to ever sing it. His performances two years ago were a massive part of us getting relegated.

The sacking of Des Buckingham seems harsh. Away form not great but they've been okay at home, aside from the battering from Middlesbrough and the defeat against Swansea. Picked up points against some good teams. I imagine the QPR defeat midweek didn't help.

For me it’s more to do with the opposition creating so many chances against us every game. Even in the West Ham game they had the best chances and should have won the game really.

Didn’t actually beat Arsenal, Liverpool or Man City though.

We conceded 4 in our last away game as well (so that's the last two away games now). And it was the third time this season we conceded 4 away from home. We allow to many shots against us, opposition have to many chances against us, for us to sustain anything. We're going to be conceding 4 in other games too.

Palace got some good results recently. Points out of games against Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle and now Brighton. Maybe they're starting to turn it around and won't end up in a relegation battle.

Yes we do, I said it ages ago but got laughed off as "you want a target man a hoof football" which never was my idea. A player who can hold the ball doesn't mean they are an old style centre forward.

Without doubt. A better team than West Ham would have beaten us with the amount of chances they had. I said pre Newcastle game that a hammering was bound to happen, our issue all season has been we allow too many shots and created chances against us and that has not changed (yet).

I joked at HT when I saw him coming on that we should just leave the ground. Turns out I should have just done it. Although the defending was not any better I don't think Ward installs confidence in anyone.

The players are shit, the squad is shit. I was always amazed to see how people think this squad was any good and that "a better manager than Cooper" would have us higher up the table. All our defenders are awful, our central midfielder's aren't good enough, our wingers don't contribute enough and we rely on a 37 year old striker to run around all game and score a goal. Take the loan player out of the team and we have limited creativity. The likes of Maddison/Tielemans/Barnes took huge criticism but once they left our squad went backwards about 20 years. Maddison registered 10 goals and 9 assists in our relegated team ffs, we haven't got a player who will reach anywhere near though figures now.

I'm looking forward to it, always like my trip up to Newcastle. Nice train journey, station not to far away from the ground and plenty of pubs. Hopefully we can pick up some points along the way.
