I hate to think where we would be without Pearson and his team as the owners threw money at it (Sven) and it didn't work. Then we thankfully got promoted but even then had to pay the FFP fine. Best appointment they ever made was getting Pearson back but even then he was known to the club.

Never understood the obsession with Newcastle, people calling them a "big club", it's nearly 100 years without winning a league title and I'm sure next year, 2025, will be 70 years since their last major honour (FA Cup).

No they haven't. Since the 5th of September we've beaten Bournemouth, Southampton and Walsall.

Always find it bizarre seeing current players have statues but it's inspiration for those there now which is a good thing.

I think it's more of a case of how good Wycombe and Birmingham are. Their draws were not to bad results really when you consider it was Huddersfield and Charlton. I know Charlton have tailed off a bit but I'm sure when they played Wrexham they were in decent form too. That said, they're only (sadly) 4 points off top still.

He mentioned last month when he took the job here he phoned Ranieri and Ranieri said something about "well I won the league and still got sacked". It might have been the way the story was written but it sounded like Maresca thought if he had one poor season then he'd be sacked. I didn't like how he came across but tbh I don't like him anyway given how he left here.

I'm yet to see evidence of backing this up though. We went from a club finishing top 10 to relegation within a year.

Vestergaard is to tight and can't get back, beaten far to easily, Justin comes inside to cover as he should but then Fatawu doesn't track back so Justin ends up having to deal with two players. One of which ends up scoring.

I record it Saturday night and then watch it Sunday morning. Always preferred to do that and then skip through the analysis.
