I think we're so specialist at this you need sub categories: Complete Waste of Time (barely played) - Toss up between Edouard and Bertrand Lack of value from Fee Paid / Recouped - Already likely to be Skipp I'm afraid to say; otherwise Daka or Slimani as they are our 4th and 5th most expensive signings ever and we'll get got £0 sell on fee for either. They haven't done nothing when playing, but nowhere near enough return on investment. Actively making us worse (AKA the Danny Ward trophy) - Ward obvs, but Faes has a strong case given how much he's played during our demise

Do they have a plan we don’t know about?

I’m not sure there is - something would have been leaked. Just incompetence and delusion. -
Transfer Deadline Day - Prediction Thread
Lewis's Junior replied to EnderbyFox's topic in Transfer Talk
Some of you mentioning lack of activity means threadbare squad for the Champ next season; I wish it were the case! We're losing very few this summer; not many out of contract, and only two assets anybody would buy / take on the wages for in Mads and Bilal. Jakub Justin Faes Vestegaard VK Skipp Winks Ndidi Ayew Daka BDCR When's the season ticket renewal? Get in there quick! -
He wouldn’t be able to negotiate with Athletico Mince, let alone Minerio

Anecdotally I see perceptions that we're continually after managers being sacked (yes, Cooper, but also dissatisfaction with Maresca last season). And that we boo our own players, e.g. Ward. As mentioned by others, fans are drawing from limited experiences like highlights and when we play at their ground. Personally I don't think we are entitled - in fact most of our fan base has been not entitled enough to force the change we needed to kick on. Also the poverty chanting, our clappers and goal music. All of which is shite and needs to be binned.

The empty seats are noticeable. I thought midweek maybe because an evening game etc. Perhaps some of our fans are showing some backbone and voting with their feet? Anybody at the game seeing empty seats near the middle and back of the stands too?

Whatever happens, I think degreasing the team's cadres should be our number 1 priority this summer

Look no further that the 'woe is me' statement on our relegation in 2023. And the complete lack of transparency on anything that happened as part of this 'review': Over the coming days and weeks, we need to reflect on the processes and decisions that have brought us to this point. What we learn from this experience must convert into action that makes us stronger and prevents this happening to us again in the future. I agree with what others have said - I don't think he knows what he's doing. What is the 'action' that's been taken to 'make us stronger'? Although I think PSR is only a small reason we're in the shit, it's not like there's anything mentioned publicly that apportions blame to anything. So what is it they think has gone wrong to try and fix it? Where is the fighting spirit to make us better? Even though he's a total tosspot, even the Forest owner was out in the media pointing fingers at refs or getting rid of backroom staff in an attempt to make changes, which sadly seem to have worked. Any other business (and football is a business now) heads are rolling at this level of regression. Nothing of the sort at KPFC.

Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official
Lewis's Junior replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought he played well last night - with well defined as to ‘the best of his ability’. The level of that ability and the fact he appears to be a starter now is the fault of KP / transfer strategy, not Jordan Ayew. -
Can't agree that he's good enough at this level. He has some characteristics that make him look adequate in patches. But look at his overall body of work; he's far too often caught out of position, dives in when its too risky, or is just too casual in dangerous situations (backing off until there was a nice angle to score vs Plymouth last season particularly stands out). He's not some 22 year old, he'll be 27 by the end of the season. If he hasn't ironed those things out now, you've got to doubt it'll happen.

Post match - Man Utd Carabao Cup - 5-2 loss
Lewis's Junior replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s fine. Let’s us focus on a European push, plus we got Ayew and BDCR some experience -
Our defending is just so passive. There’s so much more time and space than there should be for their attackers. We don’t make contact and they get free hits in our box. Agree with others, we were lucky that scoreline wasn’t worse. Although I was happy with the starting 11 and return of ricardo as an inverted fullback, we’ve again seen cooper has no idea how to change it up. Forest have that in their manger clearly, chalk and cheese halves.

Feel for you. I grew up in south Leics so wasn’t exposed to what you were. Later in life I’ve come across a number of folks growing up in a north Leics postcode yet gleefully supporting forest. Worst glory supporters ever! Agree on the city. I like Trent bridge and where it sits near the river and city ground. Just a shame what the stadium is filled with! -

Fair point. But given the option I’d rather never play them and know we haven’t lost than the beat them vs lose to them chance!! -

I hate this game. I can’t stand forest; their delusions of grandeur, the harking back to some bygone era, the fact they were slightly less shit than relegated teams in the last few years so fluked their way to survival. I don’t like being in the same division as them because it gives them a chance to beat us. If I had my way they’d be rotting as far down the leagues as possible. In most of my life I have to be reasonable and balanced - I am the most partisan and blinkered when it comes to this lot. Not that it shows 🤣- 703 replies

The biggest downside to his game IMO is his positioning; watch how Vardy moves laterally to pull defenders out of position, or creates gaps for him to use his (remaining) pace. Then watch Daka; he almost seems to gravitate to the centre back marking him. Given his touch isn't the best and he doesn't have a box of tricks to turn defenders, he's never going to get that green grass that would make best use of his pace. Sadly I agree with many that it just isn't going to happen for him here. The only crumb of hope is that if Vardy retires this year, he comes out of the shadows and starts being the main man. But it'd be a frankly biblical turnaround for that to happen.

Seriously f*** modern football; in the last 2 years it's been more important to understand PSR, amortisation and tax laws than tactics, injuries and formations. This is not the beautiful game!

It is of course all about the emphatic win but I spent a lot of time thinking thank f Martin is not our manager. -
Hopefully not Hamza

Been reading with interest opinions on here, and trying to decide whether we’ve been reckless or whether the leagues are out to punish clubs that aim higher like we did. Sustainability rules were put in place in part to stop clubs going to the wall if an owner ups and leaves and the club can’t wash its face. On this basis, we have been reckless - astoundingly so. I get the argument that Top / KP will continue footing the bill in the short term; but how sure is anybody this will continue indefinitely? There’s no bond placed with the league to use as leverage if he gets bored and stops underwriting us. And no guarantee the monopoly KP runs continues forever should there be regime change in Thailand. So at the least, as fans we have to be demanding that whoever owns our club gives it a fighting chance of operating sustainably without a benevolent owner. For the simple reason you can’t trust a billionaire to not ultimately be self serving; they accrued that money for a reason in the first place, by making unpopular and often unethical decisions. So if you agree fans are the ultimate custodians of a club, then these losses and their underlying causes should cause considerable anger towards the board for their recklessness.

He’s always nearly where he should be; close enough to make a block, but doesn’t. Close enough to track a runner, but doesn’t. Almost winning the ball cleanly. Can’t execute any of them though. And this is against mid table championship players He’s the definition of mediocrity. Never cemented his place in the team, and is years past hoping he’d mature his game. Good job on the contract rudders 👏👏👏

I'm fascinated by the obsession our board have on ideologues as managers; Puel, Rodgers, Enzo; stubborn to the extreme. Tactical inflexibility, favourites, ignoring the bench. Pragmatists like Pearson, Ranieri or O'Neill need not apply. Fine wanting Enzo out, but it's the vision of the board that will dictate who comes next and the style they adopt.

Are we bottlers and do we have a weak mentality?
