  1. Think we are pretty well placed for the future if we do go down. Stolarczyk, Nelson, VK, Skipp, Alves, Braybrooke, McAteer, Mavididi, Fatawu, Cannon, Richards all tied into decent length contracts. We should also realise a decent PSR profit for Hermansen and Faes, whilst Winks, Okoli, Riccy, Vestergaard and Souttar should be able to find a move away if we needed to from a salary perspective. If we stay up, we go again next summer and add 2 or 3 first choice players to the squad, and if we’ve done well enough for one of the players to get a big transfer away, so be it, we go back to the model that’s served us so well till Rudkin and Whelan had a massive brain fart.
  2. Positives Glasner picked him a lot back end of last season and he really knows what he’s doing. He can easily play 3 or 4 different positions He’s not going to throw his toys out the pram if he’s not a first choice He will help press from the front and with any shithouse 3 points we have a chance of getting. negatives no resale value, probably a bit too much up front too Not someone who improves the first choice team itself wont be cheap salary-wise used money we could have channeled elsewhere for more exciting signings / players with higher ceilings. overall a bit meh but really depends who else we manage to get in.
  3. If they don’t stay up they will be in the shit next season
  4. Wouldn’t be surprised if the one he thought we were ‘very close to’ has stalled again, which is why we’ve now seemingly gone back in for Ayew to get a player through the door. Fingers crossed there’s other deals to come with players who will improve the XI rather than the squad.
  5. As long as 5 mill are the add ons 🤣
  6. 2ish mill, 2 year deal and another 3m if we stay up I could get on board with as long as there’s another couple coming in, especially if Cannon going out. Not a bad bench option for a struggling team and sounds like his wages aren’t obscene…. but not someone who will improve the starting XI, and we need that too.
  7. Reported this eve up on Merseyside as being one who will be leaving before the end of the window. Wouldn’t mind him at all on a loan or perm deal.
  8. Would be decent for a couple of mill and a 2 year deal but dear me this is a huge bloody shambles otherwise. Nothing other than a sub to bring on to help a shithouse win.
  9. More accountability and ownership in one interview than Rodgers and Enzo between them in all their games in charge.
  10. It makes the season under Rodgers look at least average this does, we aren’t even in the contest. One ‘shot’ which was basically an up an under
  11. Christ ndidi - what’s happened to that guy
  12. Reid had a nightmare there, caught on the wrong side of his man. Poor poor poor
  13. Ndidi and kristiensen in particular getting absolutely bullied off the ball
  14. Kristiensen is absolutely awful
  15. Oh wow this could be double figures 🤣
  16. I think I had a drawing of the Beaumont Leys stadium from somewhere. From memory it was fully two tiers and had the little diagonal cutouts at each of the corners.
  17. Think it’s where the shopping centre was built yep.
  18. Pre the Carling stand being built, there was talk about somehow turning the pitch at filbert street 90 degrees and then having the double decker down one side and more space to build bigger stands on the rest of the site
  19. Seem to remember there being plans for an ice rink under the stadium as well as shops etc.
  20. Chelsea not doing that stupid tippy tappy pass to each other from kick off thing Enzo drilled into winks and Ricardo last season
  21. Assuming we get this over the line there’s every chance this lad will be our captain in 12 months time.
  22. If we’ve got anything about us there’ll be a great big staying up clause in there and a lower initial fee. Probably be about £12m all in.
