Group L: England, Croatia, Ghana, Panama

Guehi is ok, but has benefitted from being labelled England's best centre back by default almost. I always thinks he looks robotic on the ball, can be vulnerable to balls over the top, and isnt that dominating in the air either. Decent when in a duel or doing last ditch stuff though. I don't really like him and Konsa as a pair. -

I thought the same when i heard various players and Tuchel suggesting the need for patience. It almost subconsciously feeds into a style where you slowly probe and don't try and force it or take risks. It doesnt mean you need to go gung ho, but at the very least try and move the ball quicker, take fewer touches and be prepared to switch the play with more intent to get wingers one on one before the covering defender can shift over. -

Stones back in for me as well. We're still vulnerable to the counter with Konsa and Guehi and at least Stones can play a ball into midfield and not just crab it side to side at snails pace. -

Burgess is absolutely prolific when faced with his own net -

Really poor subs by Koeman cost the Dutch there. -

Bouaddi is the real deal. Massive bids coming in after the tournament. -

Movement off the ball of the USA has bern outstanding. Adams, McKennie and Tillman is a very nice combination of players in midfield and theyve got pace and decent quality in the front 3. Very impressive. -

This is a shellacking. Paraguay look hopeless but USA are really fluid. -

Canada were a decent watch, just lack end product. -

Wife is Mexican and has arranged for most of the Mexican population of South East London to pile round our house for the game later. Have already apologised to our neighbours in advance. -

Keeping Anderson and Rice fit is almost as important as Kane. Anderson is a top player. -
Zverev Cobolli going into a 5th. Zverev incredibly passive in the 4th. Not going to choke another one surely.

Only managed to listen to this for the first couple of times today. Will need a few more to digest it properly but its a very good album with some sublime highs. The production level is off the scale good but nothing will top MHTRTC (nostalgia) or Geogaddi (darkness) for the feelings they invoke whilst listening.

Maguire not going is a poor decision. Ignoring the fact he is the best set piece threat and a decent leader, you can make a case he has been one of the top 3 performing centre halves in England this season. If Dan Burn goes ahead of him its a joke.

Loves a stunner in finals does Youri

Surprise winner but not like Rai is an absolute nobody. Remember watching him beat Fleetwood in a play off at Abu Dhabi last year. Only player in the final few groups to take the course on by the scruff of the neck.

Don't agree that Middlesbrough bottled it. They don't have the squad depth and it caught up with them. Not to mention they were without their best player yesterday.

Abdul Abdulmalik. Pretty much every L1 club will be interested after today, if they werent already.

Assuming "that" season is 2015/2016, i'd argue Vardy became even better in the following 3 or 4 seasons. Under Puel he was insanely good given how little got created for him and then at the start under Rodgers. For that entire period id argue he was world class under most definitions. Pace, movement, finishing off both feet and head, work rate, even his link up and 1 touch lay offs were well above average.

Its weird. I dont really dislike any of their players individually, and like quite a few (Raya, Rice, Saka, Calafiori) but Arteta, their pragmatism, and their fanbase tip me over the edge.
