  1. 5 days total, based all the time in San Sebastian, with a day trip to Bilbao and half day in Hondarribia before flying back. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Perfect place to just go and enjoy the surroundings and drink/eat like a king.
  2. Got back from San Sebastian yesterday. Probably goes to the very top of my list of favourite ever city breaks. Beautiful place and will definitely go back and explore more of the Basque country in the near future. Enjoyable day trips to Bilbao and Hondarribia as well.
  3. Going to take a special player to break into what looks like it could be a duopoly over the slams for the foreseeable future. That was an extremely high level match.
  4. Radwan on fire
  5. Gusto is having an absolute shocker.
  6. Very talented player. There'll be plenty of interest because for a player of his age, technical talent, and work rate, you can trust the eye test and overlook to some degree the goals and assists numbers in a rubbish side with no attacking dynamism. His high points have been exceptionally high (Man City at home). He'll spend his prime years starting for European level sides, I'm convinced. There's no way we accept as little as £20m but if that were the price, it's a no brainer for several clubs.
  7. It didn't, red blew his whistle so VAR can't intervene. Villa will rightly be fuming.
  8. Expect Roma could go for Conte as it seems he's probably leaving Napoli
  9. They'll be up there. They've got a bit of extra quality a lot of championship teams don't have.
  10. Sunderland fans were hanging their hat on Mundle and Hamza has absolutely pocketed him so far.
  11. Terrible game between 2 terrible teams. Pleased for Postecoglu though.
  12. This is laughably bad
  13. Rahm absolutely imploding.
  14. Henderson is incredibly lucky there. Not sure why the commentators are saying he was going away from goal, Haaland could absolutely have flicked that over him without the hand ball.
  15. Can see it now. Daka starts against Bournemouth and misses an open goal in the 95th minute to win the game and finish above Ipswich for an extra £2m prize money. We subsequently fail PSR by £1.9 million.
  16. Le Fee didn't have a great game but he's a very good player. Sunderland improved massively when he moved centrally and Mundle came on.
  17. You're doing him a bit of a disservice imo. He has quick and tidy feet in tight areas, helps them sustain attacks because it's extremely difficult to dispossess him, and his decision making in possession is much better than your average wide player at this level.
  18. All time bottling by Forest. They were an absolute shambles in that last 25 minutes.
  19. He grew into the game today tbf. Did some good things after a hopeless first 20.
  20. This will just be to circumvent UEFA rules given they'll be in Europe. He'll still be involved in an "unofficial" capacity.
  21. We need to be realistic in our expectations of him. He has been hyped (on here at least) to the extent that anything less than becoming a talisman would be a disappointment. Expectations should be tempered. The positive is that he got plenty of games at Cardiff, and looked like he belonged at Championship level, without ever really standing out consistently. But for a first ever loan after a horrible injury, that is a relatively successful outcome. His technical ability looked above most of his peers, but seems to lack a bit of speed/acceleration to get away from his marker. Next 2 years will be critical to his development. If we aren't going to use him, I'd rather he get another season long loan after a proper pre season, even as low as League 1. He's still so young and has played so little football that it will benefit him much more than being planted on our bench. Grealish, a player with a similar skill set and limitations did so and it did him no harm.
  22. Sargent would be a good fit in terms of playing style but I can't see us paying what Norwich would demand. Injury history also a concern.
  23. That 30 seconds of football sums us up. Wolves playing simple passes taking out half our side who are too lightweight or immobile to get anywhere near them.
