Liverpool 3-1 LCFC, post match thread
gazzaa2 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Anfield always used to be a good ground for us till Klopp turned up. Even in the 80s and under MON. -
Remember when people were flapping about Brenton getting the United job? We'd have been well compensated as well. Amorim unless a disaster will at least get a couple of years like Ten Hag did, for RVN to be in consideration next time that job comes up he'll have to have Leicester going well in the Premier League. We just need to stay up this year and go from there.

Coady can only play in a back 3.
-
We're the home team early Saturday kick off after an international break when Chelsea would have a lot more players away, yet we look like we got back from New Zealand last night.

Forest fan.
-
Everton fans refused to accept relegation and we went down instead two years ago after sticking with Brendan while the fans politely stood by.

Manchester United 3 - 0 Leicester City - Post Match Thread
gazzaa2 replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
There's got to be people who would want to buy a PL club. Look at Everton who are a financial basket case. -
It's the new stadium effect as well. Filbert Street always had a charm to it and was more compact. When we were barely getting 20,000 through the second half of the 2000's (after 2004 relegation) it was dire then. Coventry is basically similar from Highfield Road to Ricoh and they haven't been in the PL since they moved. Forest still have their heritage of their old stadium. Bar the odd season (and odd games) it's always been a struggle for atmosphere at KP.
-
They've hit the post twice, missed a sitter and our keeper man of the match, he's still got luck.
-
Obviously he isn't being sacked at the moment but the issue will be if Southampton and Wolves get new manager bounces. Cooper has been massively lucky with results this season, our outlying numbers are awful. You'll take any win but it's not sustainable. Survival is achievable but it'll probably take a mid season change if performances don't improve. The players are battling but they don't seem to be taking the tactics on board
-
Survival is achievable this season and would be more achievable with a better coach. Southampton and Wolves will change manager soon and could then stop leaking goals. We could have easily conceded more. Xg has us lowest goals score, most goals conceded along with Ipswich and fewest points.
-
He has to go, he's not up to it at this level and he hasn't got the momentum of the fanbase behind him like he had at Forest. October international break is the time to source a replacement. Moyes would be ideal.
-
Everton and Spurs both let us off the hook. Should have been dead and buried at half time.
-
He's not up to it at this level. The sack was a long time coming at Forest and they spent a fortune. He's a Championship manager.
-
Worst season in the clubs history incoming.

It's a bit like 02/03 when we knew we didn't have enough to compete but needed the financial boost of promotion. We'd have been in a worst state if we stayed down. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
gazzaa2 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
while Everton flagrantly broke the rules and stayed up at our expenses. -
Should go all out for Moyes if we want to stay up like Everton did with Dyche.
-
Cooper is a good Championship manager, jury out in the PL. Spent an absolute fortune at Forest and barely stayed up, although I doubt many were his signings. The whole time Forest were in the Prem under him he was on the verge of the sack and would usually dig a result out when he needed it. A battering at Leicester springs to mind when he was expected to be sacked after it. With a lack of money, a points deduction and a Championship level squad I couldn't see him doing much. Plus he wouldn't have the bond with the crowd he had at our main rivals, in fact it'd work against him.
-
Half the Plymouth post-match thread was "Maresca Out" posts. That was barely a month ago!
-
Can thank him for getting us back up but Maresca in the PL wasn't going to work at Leicester playing that style of play. Look at Kompany and Burnley and Kompany was given the funds to buy the players he wanted. A points deduction, budget restrictions, his bad temperament. He wouldn't have lasted past October.
-
For all their crowing, since Leeds last won a major trophy Leicester have won a league title, an FA Cup and two League Cups. Their last FA Cup final was over 50 years ago! And Leeds haven't won a final since 1972, including a 100% failure rate in the play offs. We've also spent more time in the top flight than them as well.
-
I'd make an appointment with The Championship in mind the year after. We'll have to cut our cloth for the next couple of years.
-
The post-Plymouth thread was full of Maresca out posts. That was literally last month!
