Agree - but it can both, right? It's not a 'the sky is falling' disadvantage. But also having 3 more weeks with the players + more time before that to get started on planning/recruitment etc would be beneficial. And the only reason we've not had that is the completely self-inflicted stasis the club has had the last 3 months.

Half-time reveal in the Sheffield Weds game
-
Days since it was obvious we were getting relegated - approx 120-140 Days since officially relegated - 82 Days since end of the season - 47 Days since RVN was sacked - 14

Why would Rohl want to stay at Wednesday, even if they were took over and the embargo was lifted?
-
I'm actually surprised a PL team hasn't taken a punt on him. 1 year deal on a free. 145 goals. 12 G/A in a terrible team last season.
-
Step 0. Do nothing in terms of preparation in the weeks/months prior to sacking the previous manager, despite the trajectory being clear
-
I've got an idea...how about we hold more than one opinion in our heads at once? The lack of planning and situation we find ourselves in is down to a complete dereliction of duty by Top and Rudkin & Co Gary O'Neil would be a terrible and 'lazy' appointment Whoever ends up as manager, should initially be given a chance by the fanbase, as any pre-emptive negativity would only be self-defeating
-
I can't seem to reconcile this sentiment of 'Dyche/Wilder/O'Neil are rubbish, we're an unserious club, just give it to King even though we know he's got zero experience' Can't everyone see the contradiction there?
-
He doesn't want to resign until he gets what he's owed from Weds in terms of missed payments. If he resigns he'll also miss out on whatever he's owed for the rest of his contract. I'm not sure we can simply promise to 'pay him back' - there's probably some legal problems there.
-
It's possible that Rohl was/is the prime target, but it's just dragging out and now they're looking for someone who can start this week...
-
It's organised by FIFA, not a select group of clubs, is it not?
-
Yeah but the whole point from Ric’s comment is that ‘the club’ can’t decide between vision A or B. It’s not that they decided A and are struggling to execute it.
-
The club being undecided on a strategic plan/vision back in March/April would be bad enough. Being undecided in July, with the season kicking off in 5 weeks time is unforgivably bad

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Les-TA-Jon replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
You literally explained it yourself. one is PL, one is UEFA. One is Profit/Loss rules, one is wage threshold. -
Would Daka have bettered 19 goals last season in League One?
-
111pts last season?
-
Screw me for missing a random internet reference out of the billions that exist
-
Can't wait for the season to kick off so the forum is busy with everyone bemoaning lineups and results rather than cooking up ChatGPT hallucinations
-
If ever there was proof that there's been a huge brain drain of football knowledge at LCFC the Coady signing was it. Had become out of favour at Wolves in 2022 (aged 29) and went on loan at Everton where he failed to impress and they didn't want him either. Now 30 years old, 1 year left on his deal, no one after him and we pop up and pay a reported £7.5m for him. Any recruitment person worth his salt would have known: he's not that good, he's not worth that fee, he's not worth that salary.
-
Not fast enough for people on here apparently
-
Thing is, LCFC might think they can get them all without paying anything, so why should they pay up to £2m now/today just to 'get it sorted' a bit sooner? Yes, of course, the clocking is ticking and preseason has already commenced, but if a few days 'saves' the club up to £2m, would that not be prudent? I thought 'reckless' spending was what got many knickers on this forum in a twist?
-
Is there not? Do we know the inner workings of both clubs? Let's not pretend that thinks aren't complicated with this situation. Chansiri is not an easy fellow to deal with. If he think he's owed compensation for Rohl leaving then he'll be making it difficult. If we're trying to avoid paying it because Rohl might be able to release himself from his contract, that further complicates things.

Are the images on that article out of date then? Winks and Coady pictured.

We can do the double over Ipswich next season and still finish below them...
-
Southampton in decent shape - have had Will Still in place early. Have sellable assets. Ipswich could be good too but risk of losing McKenna? Sheffield Utd got 90 pts and should have gone up Wildcards of Birmingham (111pts and momentum from last season) and Wrexham. We are the least settled of this lot. Obviously question marks over manager and squad is currently quite unbalanced, plus a host of players on final year of contract and no real investment in the club but there’s too many variables between now and end of the window but I don’t think Top 2 is a safe bet
