Monga is great but for me there’s no problem with him being the ‘finisher’ off the bench or rotating that role with Mavididi. They are both excellent players and create opportunities.

So Ric what do you mean? 🤷🏻♂️

Harsh to blame Soumare from that goal and a harsh review of his performance. I get it, he’s been poor for us but in the last two games alongside Winks he’s been good. He probably will eventually be replaced by JJ though Marti prefers two number 6’s and a 10 whereas I think JJ is a 8 and best suited to an Enzo sytem. So it will probably happen if the manager tweaks his system to a single pivot. That being said Soumare was good yesterday. Lots of positive forward passes and drive. -

The problem was Soumare was having a good game with Winks so there was no deeper role for James to drop in to. I -

Sorry don’t know what you mean mate. He put some fantastic passes in to danger areas, particularly in the first half. -

Yeh and a draw away at West Brom isn’t a bad result. -

Come on mate that’s not true. He isn’t a number 9 but he can be outstanding at this level. He was brilliant against Oxford. MOTM and a goal. That’s not an abhorrent player. -

Whilst we continue to concede the 1st goal then teams will play like this. -

No, I’m just watching it without the rage that appears to have taken over foxestalk. We played some good stuff tonight. We also did lots of things not so good. Particularly our finishing and our final ball. They got more chances as we had to take more risks in the 2nd half but we were the better team and deserved something. If you don’t think that then I’m guessing you stopped watching after 5 minutes. -

Come on, we are not a poor side from a Championship perspective. Nor are West Brom though! -

Those people saying lucky draw what game were you watching? West Brom basically played as the away team. They literally didn’t want the ball and tried to pack the defence and play on the break. We just were very poor in front of goal tonight. Other than that we totally dominated the game, the possession and the chances. West Brom are no mugs despite getting written off on here. They have real quality at this level. Iling Jnr, Johnston, Price, would be assets in our team, plus lots of prem experience at the back. -
Do you mean a striker? What about Carranza? He’s barely set foot in the country ffs. Give him a chance.

This thread is not fun.

Wtf

Mavididi is having a good game so why would you take him off?
-
There’s been lots of end product. We’ve created lots of chances. There are 11 players trying to stop us scoring you know. We don’t have a divine right to win. We are however playing lots of fast positive football and trying to score.
-
Can’t believe the negative comments on here. We are playing some lovely football at times.

The criticism for Ayew is harsh when you consider his goalscoring MOTM performance against Oxford.
-
I thought for the majority of the game our central midfield dominated the game. Winks was the main man but I thought for today at least Soumare was an effective foil. I think the criticism today is more based on his overall time here than his actual performance today. Taken in isolation he was good.
-
Quite surprised with the reaction on here today. I thought Soumare played well. Found lots of space, took the ball on the half turn and played positively. 🤷🏻♂️

Plenty of Stone Island wearers are neither racist or drug users it should be pointed out.

Unfortunately we will have plenty of inexperienced refs with egos like today that will be influenced by fans, players and ultimately by unconscious bias. I think today for whatever reason we had a ref that managed the two teams differently.

The Oxford lads knew that the Ref was inexperienced, card happy and easily influenced. That was pretty obvious after the Bouba yellow. With that in mind Rambo was naive to go in for a robust tackle - this was one of those refs that you had to manage and in this case it would’ve been done by standing off the player and accepting he was gonna run with the ball. As soon as the ref was crowded out, the red was inevitable. -
